Meet Lorena Byrod, MA, LEP

Lorena brings an unusually broad foundation to her work. She began her career as a speech therapist, working across public schools, nonpublic settings, and private practice, before pursuing her Master's in Education and becoming a credentialed school psychologist, and later a Licensed Educational Psychologist.

That background gives her a distinct lens on how communication, processing, and learning intersect, which is especially useful in complex evaluations where concerns span multiple areas.

Lorena has worked with students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade, and her approach centers on identifying the strategies and supports that help students succeed both academically and emotionally, while making sure families feel confident about what comes next.

We're so lucky to have her on our team! πŸ’™

We have exciting news, we now accept CareCredit! πŸ’™

An evaluation is a significant investment, and we want cost to be one less barrier between your family and the answers you're looking for. CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that lets you pay over time with convenient monthly payments and special financing options available on qualifying purchases (subject to credit approval).

Checking if you prequalify won't affect your credit score, and if approved, you can start using it right away.

Ready to see if you qualify? Apply here: https://www.carecredit.com/go/332FZY/?dtc=DS1X&sitecode=h2mdo9bg10

A gentle reminder as the school year ramps up. Protect the relationship first, the worksheet second. And if homework has turned into a nightly battle, it's okay to loop in the teacher, you don't have to carry it alone.

ADHD doesn't always look like what people expect. Sometimes it's not the kid bouncing out of her seat, it's the girl quietly working twice as hard just to keep up. Swipe through to learn what ADHD can actually look like in girls, why it's so often missed, and why good grades don't rule it out.

Hearing this means everything to us. πŸ’™

One of the most meaningful parts of our work is helping kids understand themselves better, and helping parents feel truly heard along the way. Grateful for families like this one who let us walk alongside them.
