Let’s talk p**p 💩 While dog p**p is biodegradable, leaving it around is not beneficial and has negative effects on wildlife, water quality and public health! Most dogs eat a commercial diet with produces waste not meant for nature. It doesn’t break down like other s**t. It leaves an unbalance in the ecosystem contaminating soil, plants and waterways. AND if the p**per contains bacteria, viruses or parasites these can be passed onto other dogs, wildlife and sometimes even humans. On top of walking in it sucks for the people who come behind you.
Nerd alert: Rolling in found s**t in nature, dead animals and fish is enriching for some dogs. It offers scent camouflage masking their own scent. It is a form of communication bringing fun smells back to the other members who couldn’t attend. It can also be a sensory enjoyment! Novel odors are very rewarding for pups. All that said, all s**t can be dangerous so if your fur friend happens to get a good roll in… make sure you bathe them. This stinky always tries to get one in and sometimes she succeeds 💩💩💩😝
