✨ A Few of My Favorite Things: Office Edition ✨

Some books become favorites.

Some become part of your story.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? will always be that book for me.

Years ago, I had the privilege of working with an incredible little boy named Christopher. He challenged me in all the best ways as a speech-language pathologist. Christopher had an unwavering love for books—but no matter how many new stories I introduced, we always found our way back to Brown Bear.

At first, I tried everything to move on to something new. But Christopher taught me something I didn’t realize I needed to learn. Instead of changing the book, I changed my approach. We found endless ways to target new goals using the same well-loved story.

Christopher passed away in January 2025, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about the lessons he taught me. He reminded me that meaningful therapy isn’t always about introducing something new. Sometimes it’s about meeting a child where they are and finding creative ways to build from what they love.

Because of Christopher, Brown Bear will always have a permanent place in my therapy room. Every time I open its pages, I’ll remember the little boy who made me a better clinician and whose impact continues to shape the way I serve children and families today.

Thank you, Christopher, for your love of books, your perseverance, and the lasting mark you left on my heart. ❤️📚

✨ A Few of My Favorite Things: Office Edition! ✨

This week I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite things from my new office, and I couldn’t think of a better place to start than with this special piece of artwork.

This collage is made up of my own kids’ artwork from over the years. ❤️ Every drawing, painting, handprint, and masterpiece represents a little piece of their creativity and reminds me of the joy that children bring.

My kids have been my biggest cheerleaders throughout this journey, and it means so much to have a part of them with me as I begin this new adventure with Renew Pediatric Therapy. Their encouragement has helped make this dream a reality, and seeing this collage on my wall each day is a reminder of why I love working with children.

I’m so excited to welcome families into a space filled with warmth, creativity, and heart.
