Friday night had the right people behind it.

Big shout out to Brandon Sanders (South Florida Promoter) Black LGBTQ Nightlife and Anthony Winn for helping bring Florida Water to life and setting the stage for Aakosha Bentley to shut it down.

The room was packed, the energy was up, and the night delivered exactly what it was supposed to.

Promoters matter. The right ones know how to build the crowd, set the tone, and make the night EPIC!

That Friday night was one for the books.

A weekend like Heat Wave takes a whole team

We want to take a moment to thank some of the people who helped bring the energy, talent, creativity, and support that made South Florida Black Pride 2026 what it was.

Thank you Santonio Johnson, Top-Tier Uno, Krave, and Aakosha Bentley for showing up, performing, supporting, and helping make the weekend memorable.

And beyond the faces you see here, thank you to every host, DJ, dancer, performer, promoter, partner, volunteer, sponsor, creative, and behind-the-scenes hand that helped move this weekend forward.

Heat Wave 2026 happened because a lot of people showed up and did the work. We appreciate every one of you.

How are y’all doing after that weekend?

Because Heat Wave 2026 was a whole production.

A major salute to Damon (South Florida Black Pride) and Brandon Brandon Sanders (South Florida Promoter) Black LGBTQ Nightlife , the main organizers behind the weekend, for pulling together the moving pieces, people, partnerships, and events that made South Florida Black Pride happen.

And a special shoutout to Niki Lopez ~ Artist. Curator. , whose impact on the Shades of Black Film Showcase helped make that experience thoughtful, creative, and memorable.

The crowd saw the finished product. These are some of the people who helped build it. In addition to our amazing sponsors!

Heat Wave 2026 is officially in the books.

ALL WHITE And just like that, Heat Wave Weekend came to a close.

The final event was exactly what it needed to be: packed, loud, energetic, and full of people who came ready to end the weekend the right way.

From the first event to the last one, South Florida showed up.

To everyone who came out, supported, danced, posted, and helped make this weekend what it was, thank you.

Heat Wave 2026. That’s a wrap.

Tsunami understood the assignment.

The sun was out, the fits were fitting, the drinks were flowing, and the pool stayed full of energy.

If you made it, you already know. If you missed it, these flicks are your proof that Heat Wave came to party.

South Florida Black Pride did not come to play.
