There is something so special about watching a couple become parents for the very first time. This first-time mama was fierce, focused, and incredibly strong as she brought her sweet baby boy into the world right in the comfort of home. She trusted her body, stayed grounded through each wave, and worked so beautifully to meet her baby.

And right beside her through it all was Daddy. He never left her side. He was encouraging her, supporting her, loving her, and walking with her through every single step.

Then, just like that, their world changed forever. Their baby boy was here, safe in Mama’s arms, with both of his parents soaking in those first unforgettable moments together. 🌿

It really does take a village. 🤍

A well-supported home birth isn’t just about where you give birth. It’s about who you invite into that space with you.

Choosing your birth team is one of the most important decisions you’ll make as you prepare for birth. Your midwife, partner, doula, family members, birth assistants, and anyone else present can all contribute to the atmosphere surrounding you.

Choose people who help you feel:

🌿 Safe and heard
🌿 Respected in your choices
🌿 Informed, not pressured
🌿 Calm and encouraged
🌿 Confident in your ability to birth

Birth is deeply personal. The people in the room should understand your wishes, respect your boundaries, and be willing to support you & not take over your experience.

And your village doesn’t have to be large. Sometimes the best birth team is simply a few carefully chosen people who know when to offer support, when to provide reassurance, and when to quietly protect the space.

As you prepare for your birth, don’t just think about who can be there. Think about how you feel when they are there.

This beautiful family chose to keep one of life’s sweetest surprises until the very end & waited until birth to find out whether they would be welcoming a baby boy or baby girl.

And… it’s a GIRL! 🌸

Sweet Talia Abigail made her entrance through a peaceful waterbirth, surrounded by her family in the comfort and familiarity of home.

There are some birth spaces that carry a peace you can feel the moment you step inside.

As this family prepared to welcome their sweet baby, the room felt calm, quiet, and covered in prayer. Through each moment, the Lord’s presence was so evident.

Then Emmie Joy arrived.

She was welcomed into loving arms, and it felt as though her name had already told the story: pure joy filling the room and every heart in it. 🤍

Walking alongside this family through more than one birth journey has been such a gift. There is something incredibly special about being invited back into these sacred moments and watching a family grow, one precious baby at a time.

My heart is so full looking at the year ahead. 🤎

August through December are now fully booked for home birth care, and February 2027 is also full. I’m incredibly grateful for every family who has invited me into such a meaningful and sacred season of their lives.

Yesterday, sweet baby Raeya made her entrance into the world in a hurry on July 28th, and what a beautiful reminder that birth doesn’t always follow our plans—but it always has its own story.

This family holds such a special place in my heart. They were one of my very first families after I became licensed, and it has been such a gift to walk alongside them again. Watching them welcome another precious baby into their home was incredibly meaningful.

The atmosphere was filled with so much peace and joy. You could truly feel the Lord’s presence surrounding this family throughout their homebirth. It was a beautiful reminder that He is faithful in every season and every birth.

There are births that stay with you forever, and this was one of them.

Baby Ember made her entrance in the calmest, most beautiful water birth, surrounded by love and calm. After nine months of waiting, her family finally discovered one of life’s sweetest surprises… their third beautiful daughter! 🎀

She entered the world with a strong, powerful cry, filling the room with reassurance and joy from her very first breath.

Congratulations to this wonderful family on your precious girl. Thank you for allowing me the honor of witnessing such a sacred moment. Welcome earthside, Ember.

After a previous cesarean birth, this strong mama welcomed her sweet baby at home—surrounded by peace, encouragement, and a birth team who trusted her body and honored her choices.
