Breastfeeding math makes no sense:

You pump for 20 minutes… get 2 ounces… and somehow your baby drinks 6 ounces in 5 minutes like it’s a sport. 🍼😂

Also, explain how I can hear a baby stir from across the house… but I can’t hear my own name being called from 3 feet away? 🤷‍♀️

At this point, I’m convinced breastfeeding parents develop:
• super hearing
• one-armed strength training skills
• and an emotional bond with snacks eaten cold and standing up

Still worth it. But also… send coffee. ☕❤️

Things will look a little different on the June schedule, with fewer locations than usual. This is largely due to rising fuel costs and the need to adjust travel routes.

Families will still continue to receive support at agency locations, where we’ve also seen a strong number of Mobile Unit appointments. We are additionally working to park at select local WIC offices when possible to increase access.

Most importantly, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support. I will continue doing everything I can to make sure families in need are reached and cared for.

You don’t have to have it all figured out today.

You don’t have to be perfect, produce a certain amount, or follow someone else’s timeline. You just have to keep showing up for you and your baby — in the way that works for your family.

Every latch, every pump session, every bottle, every pause, every restart… it all counts. 🤍

You are doing a really good job, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.
