Behemoth Mental Health, PLLC

Behemoth Mental Health, PLLC Therapy that speaks your language, because we’re part of your world. The truth is, healing isn't easy and doesn’t happen in the abstract.

At Behemoth Mental Health, we create space for those who live authentically, even when it means living outside the box. We specialize in working with LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, kink, and alternative lifestyle communities, specifically individuals navigating mood and anxiety disorders, substance use, men’s mental health and identity, and meaning-centered concerns. While these have historically been our

primary areas of focus, we are always happy to speak with individuals who fall outside of these categories to see if we can serve them as well. Our approach is rooted in deep experience from crisis intervention and community mental health work. That history has taught us to meet people in their hardest moments with clarity, honesty, and compassion. We believe in therapy that is practical, grounded, and unafraid to step into the tough places. What makes us different is that we are part of the very communities we serve. We understand the language, the struggles, and the strengths that come with living authentically. Here, you don’t have to explain or justify your life before the work can begin. The only way out is through.

🚫 Don’t let headlines scare you.

You may have seen claims that taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) in pregnancy “causes” autism. The science doesn’t back that up.

👉 Current research shows some associations, but no proof of a causal relationship.
👉 Major health organizations (including WHO) continue to consider Tylenol one of the safest options for pain and fever in pregnancy.
👉 Untreated fever or pain can be more dangerous than the medication itself.

At Behemoth Mental Health, we believe in cutting through the noise: evidence matters, fear-mongering doesn’t. If you’re pregnant and have concerns, talk with your healthcare provider before making changes.

The only way out is through. 🐘

The science on Tylenol and autism isn't clear, despite President Trump's claims. Here's what parents need to know to make their own decisions about acetaminophen.

It’s been a difficult week, with tragic public events weighing heavily on many of us. It’s no surprise that when the world feels uncertain, our own sense of safety and stability can be shaken. Current events are increasingly contributing to the anxiety people feel day to day, and a national poll on mental health from May of this year helps show just how widespread that experience has become.

🧠 Mental Health Pulse : 2025

The APA poll found:

67% of Americans feel anxious about current events.

Top worries include safety, bills, health, and climate change.

Stress (52%) and poor sleep (39%) are the biggest drains on mental wellness.

40% of working adults fear job loss.

But there’s good news, too:

Stigma surrounding mental health issues is dropping.

More people (nearly 3 in 10) reached out to a mental health professional in the past year than the previous year.

84% believe addiction can be treated, and most agree untreated mental illness hurts families and communities.

At Behemoth Mental Health, we see these numbers reflected in real lives every day. The only way out is through, and reaching out is a powerful first step.

(Given the scope and severity of the events of this week I feel the need to clarify that while I am always happy to provide formal care to anyone who wishes to go that route, I am ALWAYS available for help accessing local resources or finding care for individuals I cannot serve directly. I'll always be a social worker first; reach out if you need help.)

Ahead of the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, the organization released poll data today revealing that two-thirds of Americans are anxious about current events happening around the world. The poll also reports on attitudes towards mental health and work-relat...
