Lewy body dementia can look different from other types of dementia.

While memory changes may occur, there are other symptoms families and caregivers should be aware of, including visual hallucinations, REM sleep behavior disorder, and changes in movement such as slowed movements or stiffness.

Recognizing these signs can help start important conversations with a healthcare provider and support earlier understanding and care.

Summer heat can temporarily worsen MS symptoms, making it important to stay cool and listen to your body.

Our MS specialists, Dr. Babinski, Dr. Napoli, and Dr. Bartkus, are sharing simple ways to beat the heat, including staying hydrated, wearing lightweight, breathable clothing, using cooling towels or vests, planning outdoor activities for the early morning or evening, taking breaks in air-conditioned spaces, and choosing indoor or pool-based exercise when temperatures rise.

Small changes can make a big difference in helping you stay comfortable and enjoy summer safely. ☀️
