Please welcome Dr. Sarah to Colorado Ranch Vet! 🐄🐖🎉

We have some big news, and we've been holding it in for far too long (but.. we have been dropping hints!):

Dr. Sarah is officially joining the CRV family, and her first day is November 17th!

When we first met Dr. Sarah, we knew right away she was the perfect fit for our growing practice!

She is one of the most genuinely kind and brilliant doctors we've ever met, and she has that classic CRV sense of humor: quick, witty, and personable. She makes every appointment just feel good! She comes to us with years and years of farm animal medical experience and sees all the things!

🐑 Sheep
🐐 Goats
🦌 Reindeer
🐔 Poultry
🦙 Llamas & alpacas
🐖 PIGS!!

Yes, you read that right! Until now we've had to refer our pig clients elsewhere, but we are now accepting pig clients from all over! 🐷

More great news:
📍 Dr. Sarah will be serving ALL of El Paso County (plus Elbert and Douglas Counties)

Dr. Heather hasn't been able to expand into the whole of El Paso County until now, so if you've been waiting on us, we're coming your way!

📅 We're growing from 4 days a week to 6 days a week of appointments!

🌙 Dr. Sarah will also be taking overnight emergency appointments.

We are so lucky to have her, and we can't wait for you to meet her, truly!

🐄🐐 It's Vet Tech Appreciation Week, and we need to talk about the real MVPs of Colorado Ranch Vet! 🐐🐄

Bridget, Jacki, Renee, and Charles: you are the backbone of this practice. Dr. Heather would be a very talented woman (with amazing hair 😅) standing alone in a pasture, holding a thermometer and a dream, without you.

Think about what these humans do:

🐂 Wrangle giant bulls who have other plans
🐑 Catch sheep that are track & field stars, suddenly (move over mutton bustin’!)
🐐 Convince a goat that the needle is "not a big deal" (the goat disagrees, loudly, so very loudly)
🦌 Restrain all the reindeer, especially Blitzen and Dasher🎄
🐂 Run yaks through who treat "personal space" as a mere suggestion
🐔 Swipe chickens off the ground who are intent on not being captured
💊 Draw up and dispense all medication, checking every dose, knowing all the things
💙 Keeping doc safe, (mostly 😅) on time, and preventing her from entering more unplanned bodies of water

And they do it all in the mud, the snow, the rain, the wind, and whatever that smell is. Then they get back in the truck and do it again, with a smile, with laughs, with all the passion and heart and grit ✨

Special shout-out to Charles, who bravely holds the title of only guy on a team full of strong, smart, hilarious women (if we do say-so, ourselves 😆). Charles, we know you never had a chance, and we're so glad you stayed anyway. 💪

These hero’s in scrubs, painted with manure, and all the things - work hard every second to keep our patients safe, and the clients feeling like family, and they never once ask for a thank-you. So here's a big one anyway.

We are so lucky to have you. We truly, truly have the best team in the entire world, and we'll fight any other practice who says otherwise. (Bring your own goat).

Today we got in so many cow snugs, saw a few chickens, sheep, alpaca, and worked a bunch of bulls - our hearts are full, our boots dirty, and we are definitely aware we smell 😆👌🏻
