ChattyKiddo Pediatric Therapy is a product of over 10-year journey that has begun with an idea and a goal to create specialized, comprehensive, and strength- based approach to helping children rise up to their greatest potential in the world of communication. Natalie, the founder of Chattykiddo, has worked toward the realization of her family- centered private practice for many years, one treatment session at a time. Communication and related disabilities, in all its manifestations, has been Natalie’s passion and focus of work since 2001. When Natalie first applied to the graduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Long Island University in New York, she knew she had chosen the right profession, one that is a both science and relationship- based. Natalie’s extensive clinical experience includes working within NYC preschools, elementary schools, center and home- based Early Intervention programs, as well as private and University based clinics. Natalie has also been involved with supervising graduate Speech- Language Pathology students. Natalie is an active blogger here and on other social media platforms- offering support, clinical information, and up-to-date strategies that can be used to promote speech- language development at home. Chattykiddo supports children of all ages in becoming spontaneous, creative, effective, and happy communicators and pledges to always have your child’s best interest in mind when planning and implementing an individualized therapy program.

A simple activity can be a language-building powerhouse when it’s set up right. Have your child direct your actions—tell you how to make a sandwich, what ingredient to add next, and where it should go (under, over, on top).

Children love to play, and they love to be in charge. We just have to give them the opportunity to lead!

Or maybe you simply have that parent feeling that something isn’t quite adding up — and you’d like another experienced professional to take a look.

ChattyKiddo Pediatric Therapy is now offering Speech & Language Second Opinion Consultations with our owner and senior speech-language pathologist, Natalie, who has over 16 years of experience.

This is a relaxed, one-on-one consultation where we can look at the bigger picture together. Bring your child’s previous evaluations, therapy goals, progress reports — and, most importantly, your questions.

We can talk through:

• What your child is doing well and where they may be struggling
• Whether their current goals and therapy approach make sense
• Questions about a diagnosis or evaluation
• Their progress — and whether something might need to change
• What you can do at home
• Possible next steps

You don’t need to become a ChattyKiddo Pediatric Therapy client afterward.

Sometimes you just need another set of experienced eyes, a conversation, and a little more clarity about where to go from here.

Your consultation includes a review of your child’s records + a 60-minute, in-depth consultation.

Consultations are available in person or via Zoom. Natalie is a licensed speech-language pathologist in both California and New York.

Arts and crafts are one of the most natural ways to build language 💡

Not just because they’re fun —
but because they create real experiences language can attach to.

Take spatial concepts.

They can be difficult to teach in isolation.
But in crafts — they come alive.

“Put it on the paper.”
“Glue goes under.”
“Draw a line between.”
“Eyes go above the nose.”
“Put it next to the circle.”
“Add something inside.”
“Wrap it around.”

The child isn’t memorizing.
They’re experiencing the meaning.
