Here's a quick fun fact for you!

Did you know that women are FOUR times more likely to develop osteoporosis than men as they age? Yep! The drop in estrogen can lead to thinning and weakening of the bones which leads to porous bone composition, leading to osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a condition in which the bones get weak and brittle due to hormone changes as we age. Men are also susceptible, so the following suggestions are beneficial for everyone!

Daily exercise such as strength training with weights and walking puts tension on the muscles and the bones! When the bones have tension, it causes tiny microfractures which the bone cells repair. This, in turn, leads to thickening and strengthening of the bones!

It's also important to include sources of calcium, potassium, magnesium, and vitamins D, C, and K into your diet to encourage bone growth and repair.

Do some daily strength training, get some steps in, and enjoy a balanced diet, friends! It helps to keep the bones strong and healthy!

After a lot of thought, countless conversations with myself, and more than a few tears, I've made the difficult decision to officially close Gaia Rain Apothecary.

This is bittersweet beyond words.

Over the years, so many of you welcomed my little business into your homes. You trusted me, encouraged me, supported my dreams, shared my posts, placed orders, and cheered me on through every new product and every new idea. I can never fully express how grateful I am for each and every one of you. Thank you for believing in me and for allowing Gaia Rain Apothecary to become part of your lives.

But here's the beautiful part...

This isn't an ending.

It's a transformation.

As many of you know, I've spent the last year or so on my own health journey, losing over 95 pounds, working on earning certifications, and discovering a new passion for helping others improve their health and wellness. That journey has led me to create Gaia Rain Wellness, where I'll be focusing on fitness, nutrition, encouragement, and helping others build stronger, healthier lives.

While the business is changing, my heart behind it never will. My goal has always been to help people. The way I do that is simply evolving.

Today was one of those full, busy, slightly chaotic days… the kind where you blink and suddenly it’s evening 🌿

But somewhere in the middle of it, I kept coming back to this quiet feeling:

Things are shifting.

Not in a loud, dramatic way…
but in that steady, grounded way where you start letting go of what no longer fits and making space for what does.

And if I’m being honest, transitions can be hard.
They can leave you feeling a little lost, a little out of sorts… like you’re not quite where you were, but not fully settled into what’s next yet.

This season feels like that for me—clearing, resetting, realigning.

Not rushing the next chapter… just preparing for it.
