Many families ask this question long before they feel ready to have the conversation.

The truth is, hospice is not just for the final days of life. Hospice can provide months of support, comfort, and guidance for patients and families facing a serious illness.

Every journey is unique, but understanding your options early can help patients and families make informed decisions with confidence.

Today we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality.

As we reflect on this important moment in our nation's history, we recognize the strength, contributions, and impact of African Americans in our community and throughout our country.

We are honored to serve families in Gainesville and the surrounding communities with compassion, dignity, and respect.

We were honored to spend time with local veterans during our Vet-to-Vet Café at the Habersham County Senior Center. 🇺🇸

These gatherings create space for conversation, connection, camaraderie, and support among those who have served.

A special thank you to Veteran Service Officer John Giddens for joining us to answer questions and provide helpful resources for attendees.

We’re grateful to the Habersham County Senior Center for partnering with us and helping make meaningful community connections like this possible.

Today, we had the honor of gifting a memory bear to a young boy in memory of his father. ❤️

When asked to pick out a shirt of his dad's, he went and picked out these two shirts. Racing was such a meaningful part of their family’s story, special details were included to make the bear uniquely personal and comforting.

Moments like these remind us how meaningful keepsakes can be for families — preserving memories, stories, and connections to the people they love most.

It is a privilege to walk alongside families during life’s most important moments and create tangible reminders of love that can be cherished for years to come. ❤️

🌟 Nurse’s Week Spotlight 🌟
Meet Janna Harris-Nuvor, RN
🩺 Years as a Nurse:
6 years total, with 5 years in hospice care — and as Janna says, “I’m not going anywhere!” ❤️
💙 What Led Her to Hospice:
Janna experienced a significant loss early in life and became a young widow at just 27 years old. Through her grief, she made the decision not to let loss defeat her, but instead allow it to shape her into the nurse she is today.
That journey ultimately led her to hospice nursing — where, in her words, “God turned my pain into purpose.” Every day, she has the honor of serving patients and families while helping them see that death is not only about loss, but also about honoring the life lived and the love left behind.
✨ Favorite Thing About Hospice:
“Creating meaningful connections with patients and families. We truly become one family.”
💛 One Word That Describes Her Care:
Intentional — with deep purpose, presence, and compassion.
👶 Favorite Thing Outside of Work:
Buying matching outfits and accessories for her twin 8-month-old baby girls… “with my husband’s paycheck 🤣”
📖 Favorite Quote:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and also trust in me.”
— John 14:1 (NLT)
❤️ Something Unique About Janna:
When Janna married her “chapter two” in 2024, she didn’t have a flower girl at her wedding — she had a flower granny. 🌸
And this wasn’t just any granny. It was her hospice patient, Mrs. Ida, who became family and held a very special place in her heart.
