Good afternoon everyone! continuing a trend from last year, lets talk about the different herbs we choose for our products. Today I will cover melaleuca oil, also known as tea tree oil. Originating in Australia, the oil is pulled from the leaves of this small tree. Indigenous people would use the leaves to treat wounds, burns, and insect bites. As we know now, this helped because of the natural antibacterial properties this plant produces. It is what makes it a valued natural remedy for treating bacterial and fungal skin conditions, preventing infection, and promoting healing.

This is why we put it in our healing salve. This fantastic oil makes it a wonderful addition to your medicine cabinet, replacing that antibacterial ointment and burn creams. It can treat any abrasion that creates redness i.e cat scratches, bug bits, cuts, sunburn, etc.
