What a huge honor for our Center of Addiction Sciences and Therapeutics and Community Engagement & Education to be included in the Big Recover Rally Galveston County 2026 Annual Rally! 💜

We were so grateful for the opportunity to share the amazing work happening through our UTMB Primary Care Pavilion (P*P) and Grace Clinic, including the work of our Substance Use Disorder Clinic and General Medicine Clinic. Our teams are committed to meeting people where they are, providing compassionate care, and helping individuals and families build healthier, more meaningful lives.

We are especially proud to celebrate Grace Clinic’s recognition from SAMHSA for expanding a sense of purpose and meaning in life — an incredible honor that reflects the dedication of our patients, providers, staff, and community partners. 🌟

Most of all, we are grateful for the ROSC community and the incredible people who continue to live out the belief that people help people. 🤝 Your collaboration, compassion, and commitment to connecting individuals with the resources and support they need make such a difference across Galveston County.

Thank you to everyone who made the Big Recover Rally 2026 such a meaningful celebration of recovery, hope, connection, and community. We are proud to be part of this movement and look forward to continuing this important work together! 💜

Recovery is possible. Connection matters. People help people.

We are so proud of our team! Thank you for the amazing work 💪🏽

💙 A Beautiful Day of Connection, Service & Storytelling 💙

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible community partners and community members who took the time to join us and speak with our first-year medical students about the power of serving our community.

Our students had the opportunity to hear directly from partners about the service-learning opportunities available in our community and how they can become actively involved in making a difference beyond the walls of the hospital and classroom.

A very special thank you to our friends at St. Vincent’s Hope Clinic and Grace Clinic, as well as the community members who shared their personal experiences and stories about how these organizations and the people who serve there have impacted their lives. ❤️

These conversations are so much more than a presentation. They are an opportunity for our future physicians to listen to real people, hear real stories, understand real barriers, and learn what it truly means to care for the whole person.

There is something incredibly powerful about the next generation of doctors learning not only from textbooks and lectures, but from the people and communities they will one day have the privilege of serving.

We are grateful for every community partner who opens their doors to our students, every community member who shares their story, and every person who helps our students understand that medicine is about so much more than treating an illness.

It is about connection. Compassion. Trust. Service. Advocacy. And community. 💙

Thank you for helping us shape not only great physicians, but compassionate physicians who understand the communities they serve.

We are so grateful for our community partners and the incredible impact you continue to make. 🌎❤️

This is community engagement. This is service-learning. This is the future of medicine. 🩺✨

A big shout out to JAMP students! This is our second year hosting them at Galveston Central Church with Grace Clinic!

We were so grateful to have them join us yesterday! During their visit, the students toured Grace Clinic (upstairs at GCC) and Galveston Central Church downstairs (GCC) to learn about the essential services we provide to the community.

These wonderful students were helping with the food, serving, laundry, playing Dominos with our community, and so much more!

We can’t wait to see you all again as future medical students — and future changemakers!

A heartfelt thank you to the John P. McGovern Gold Humanism Honor Society for selecting Grace Clinic at Galveston Central Church and for their incredible generosity.

GHHS provided lunch for approximately 120 community members. The community was deeply appreciative and they made a meaningful impact. We are also especially grateful for the donation of shoes to support our mobility clinic. As we know, proper footwear is one of the most consistent needs within our unhoused community, and your contribution will help many individuals stay safer, healthier, and more mobile.

We are truly thankful for their kindness, service, and commitment to caring for others. GHHS support has touched many lives, and our community is grateful for all that they have done in the community!

What a special day at St. Vincent’s! ❤️

Several of our Federal Work-Study students brought their families to our Open House to share a place that has become such an important part of their journey. It was incredibly meaningful to see them proudly show their loved ones the clinic they have helped lead, serve, and pour their hearts into over the years.

Congrats to all of you who graduated this past Saturday, want you to know how grateful we are for each of you. Your compassion, dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving our community have left a lasting impact on St. Vincent’s and the patients we serve.

We will miss you all so much, but we are excited to see where this next chapter takes you. As you begin residency and continue your medical careers, we have no doubt that every city and state fortunate enough to have you will be better because of the care, kindness, and excellence you bring.

Congratulations, graduates! 🎓✨ Thank you for everything you have done for St. Vincent’s. We are so proud of you and wish you nothing but blessings and success in all your future endeavors.

🎉💙
