Wow — it’s been 4 years since I last posted on this account!
Since then, so much life has happened. I got married, bought a home, sold that home and bought another one… and most recently, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl (well, Rachel carried 😉).
And today, I can’t believe I’m writing this…
I am 10 YEARS POST MY DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT 🫁
I am beyond fortunate to be living my life to the fullest. I’m surrounded by the most incredible family, friends, my amazing wife, our doggie, and our sweet princess, Abigail.
To my wonderful donor — thank you for this precious gift called life. Without it, none of this would be possible. Because of you, I get to experience marriage, motherhood, home ownership, laughter, milestones… all of it.
Today, 2/17/2026, I am breathing at 97% lung function.
When I received my transplant 10 years ago, the odds of me being here today were just 20%. And yet, here I am — defying those odds every single day.
If you’re someone who is scared about your future because of statistics or percentages, please know this: they do not define you. I am living proof that anything is possible.
Here’s to 10 more years 🥰❤️
