Kinda chic to break generational cycles and set boundaries.

The work isn’t easy, but the peace that comes with it is worth it. Every healthy boundary is a step toward a future that feels safer, healthier, and more authentic.

Love isn’t meant to heal someone. Healing allows someone to fully receive love.

You can love deeply, show up consistently, and give your whole heart, but if someone hasn’t faced their own wounds, your love may never feel like enough. Healthy relationships require two people willing to do the inner work.

Sometimes healing looks less like doing the work and more like giving yourself permission to play.

Your inner child deserves moments of joy, too.

Betrayal changes more than your relationship. It changes the way you experience the world.

After betrayal, many people don’t just feel hurt. They feel anxious, disconnected, hyperaware, and constantly questioning themselves.

That’s because betrayal often attacks the very thing we need most: our sense of safety.

If you’ve caught yourself replaying conversations, searching for answers, checking for reassurance, or feeling like you’re not yourself, it doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means your nervous system is trying to make sense of something that shattered your trust.

Healing isn’t about getting over it quickly. It’s about learning to trust yourself again.

Trusting your intuition.
Trusting your boundaries.
Trusting that your worth was never determined by someone else’s choices.

If this resonates with you, know that you’re not alone. Betrayal recovery isn’t just about repairing relationships. It’s also about repairing your relationship with yourself.

May was a lot. June brings a different kind of busy.

As you navigate summer schedules, camps, childcare, vacations, and having the kids home more, don’t forget to check in with yourself too.

What’s one thing you’re doing for you this summer?

People really think being married to a therapist means constant validation and gentle communication 😂 meanwhile my husband gets the unfiltered version of me. Therapists are humans too… sometimes our people get the raw version of us too 💕

Some of us are learning how to create safety, love, boundaries, emotional regulation, and healthy communication… all while grieving that we didn’t always receive those things ourselves.

That’s the exhausting part about being a cycle breaker.
You’re healing and parenting and re-learning at the same time.

And even though it can feel lonely sometimes, your kids, relationships, and future self will benefit from the work you’re doing now.

There’s a version of growth that doesn’t look loud or fearless.
Sometimes it looks like showing up to a networking event while internally debating turning the car around 😂

As an introvert, it’s so easy for me to stay in my office, in my routine, and inside my small safe bubble. Therapy work can be deeply fulfilling, but also isolating when you’re a solo practice owner.

So attending Connect & Grow Networking was me intentionally stepping outside of my comfort zone, and honestly, that’s not always easy for me.

But I’m so glad I did, because I got to be surrounded by such inspirational women who encouraged me to continue growing, both personally and professionally. Sometimes all it takes is being in the right room with the right people to remind you why you started.

Thank you to .chau.cosmetics for creating a space where women can connect, support one another, and grow together 🤍

Little by little, we grow 💕
