Midwives and student midwives need to show up for themselves just as much as we do for our clients.

I’m so over the narrative that if you’re not sacrificing everything, that you don’t care like a real midwife. Sometimes I wonder if the older generation of midwives really wants to make more midwives or if they just want to see others go through what they went through.

You should absolutely be prioritizing yourself and your family so you can show up for your clients at your absolute best.

Midwifery is spiritual, but it’s also my vocation. I refuse to drown in the ocean of service regardless of how much I love it.

This morning, I caught a beautiful baby girl born en caul into my hands and I was home before noon.

I am humbled by the opportunity to serve women and their families as they welcome new life.

Just nine more catches, a few postpartums, and one exam until I’m a licensed Certified Professional Midwife!

My new office💕

I’ll be joining Heather Barrett at as a full-time Certified Professional Midwife so soon!

Pray for me as I endeavor to finish my last few clinical requirements before taking the NARM exam.

Three years ago I believed I would never finish this journey and now it’s almost over. I can’t believe it, but I am grateful to all of the people who have made it possible!

I’ve been quietly studying for my IBCLC with UC San Diego through their lactation program ().

Today I’m thinking of my dear friend Khyrsten () who inspired me to expand my knowledge and made me believe that I CAN do it! She was so close to earning her IBCLC.

She and her baby passed away over the weekend in a tragic birth emergency. I’m doing this for you my friend.
