* Focus on nourishing your body with whole, unprocessed foods and plenty of fluids.
* Lean on your support system. Family, friends, or a doula for help with daily tasks.
* Gentle movement, like short walks, can do wonders for both your physical and mental well-being.
* Practice self-care activities, such as warm baths, listening to calming music, or spending time in nature, to reduce stress.
* Don't hesitate to seek professional help if you're struggling with postpartum depression or anxiety. Remember, you're not alone, and it's okay to ask for support.

As someone who has guided others through the incredible journey of birth, you might think I’d have all the answers. But the truth is, every time I prepare to bring new life into the world, there’s still a flutter of anxiety in my heart.

Being a parent and doula has taught me so much about the beauty and unpredictability of this journey. Yet, no matter how many births I’ve witnessed or experienced, each one brings its own unique set of challenges and emotions.

It’s okay to feel nervous, to have those lingering “what ifs.” Because, at the end of the day, it’s those feelings that remind me of the profound responsibility and honor it is to nurture life.
