One of the hardest conversations I have with people considering divorce isn’t about finances, dating, or starting over.
It’s about their kids.
Many parents stay in unhealthy relationships for longer than the otherwise would because they cannot imagine missing birthdays, bedtime, routines, school, pick ups, and all the ordinary moments that make up a childhood
And that grief is real.
What often surprises people that whilst sharing your children, may never feel easy, the time apart can become an opportunity to heal, rediscover yourself, and show up as a more present, regulated parent when you are together.
You don’t stop being a good parent because you see your children less often. Sometimes you become a healthier one
If this is something you’re wrestling with, you are not alone ❤️
