🧸❤️ We recently had the pleasure of hosting the MOMS Club of Stafford for a Teddy Bear Clinic and a tour of our facility.

From getting weighed and temperatures taken to blood pressure checks and x-ray imaging, the Teddy Bear Clinic is designed to reduce anxiety in a healthcare setting through interactive, play-based education.

After their stuffed animals and babies ("lovelies") were all fixed up, we played a game and had story time.

Thanks to all the families who visited us for this special day!

We've treated a wide variety of lacerations over the last seventeen years. Whether or not stitches are required depends on a few important factors.

Stitches are likely required if the wound is:

✅ Continuing to bleed or won't close
✅ Longer than 1/2 an inch on the body
✅ Longer than a 1/4 inch on the face
✅ Deep and exposing underlying tissues
✅ A result from a bite
✅ Caused by a deep pe*******on from a foreign object

Fortunately, 95% of Virginian kindergarteners are fully vaccinated against measles.

However, the VDH has reported that, at the time of this post, there have been 91 cases in Virginia in 2026, with 76% contracted in central Virginia.
