Ash Tree Hormone Health I help women with ADHD in perimenopause regain focus, structure their days, and achieve their goals.

People don’t think ADHD and perimenopause can overlap or affect each other.

Until they suddenly can’t focus the way they used to.
Until simple tasks feel overwhelming.
Until their patience disappears, their motivation tanks, and their brain feels like it’s running on low battery.

Then they start wondering if they’re lazy, unmotivated, burned out, or just ‘getting older.’

The truth? Hormonal changes can amplify ADHD symptoms in ways many women never saw coming.

If you’ve felt like you’ve become a different person lately, there may be more going on than you realize.

I know not everyone in healthcare will agree with me on this, but I think it needs to be said:

A new ADHD diagnosis in your 40s or 50s isn’t necessarily a trend.

And it isn’t necessarily a misdiagnosis.

In many cases, it’s the first time a woman’s lifelong symptoms have become impossible to ignore.

For decades, so many high-achieving women compensate, adapt, overperform, and mask their way through life.

They build careers.
Raise families.
Manage households.
Meet deadlines.

From the outside, everything looks fine.

Then perimenopause arrives.

The hormonal changes of midlife can alter the way the brain functions and many women suddenly find that the coping strategies they’ve relied on for years no longer work the way they used to.

Focus becomes harder.

Overwhelm becomes louder.

Mental fatigue increases.

The mask starts to slip.

Not because they’re failing.

But because the demands on the brain have changed.

After more than 20 years as a Nurse Practitioner, I’ve seen countless women blame themselves for symptoms that finally make sense once we start looking at the intersection of ADHD and hormonal changes.

If you’ve ever wondered why everything suddenly feels harder than it used to, you’re not alone.

And you deserve answers that go beyond “just try harder.”

If this resonates with you, send me a message. I’d love to hear about your neuro-hormonal health journey and help you explore what’s really going on. 💜

POV: It’s Summer 2027 and you’re no longer apologizing for being exhausted all the time.
Your mind feels clear again. Your body finally feels like yours again.

You’ve stopped living in constant survival mode, stopped people-pleasing yourself into burnout, and stopped wondering why everything suddenly felt so hard.

You understand your ADHD.
You understand your hormones.
And instead of fighting yourself every day, you finally know how to work with yourself.

Your relationships feel healthier.
Your nervous system feels calmer.
You trust yourself again.

And for the first time in years, life feels manageable… maybe even exciting.

All because you decided you were done losing yourself.

It looks like “everything got harder” is often a very real internal shift that no one prepares high-achieving women for.

For women with ADHD in perimenopause, it can feel like the ground changed under you without warning. Focus slips, energy drops, emotional load feels heavier, and the coping strategies that use to work just … don’t.

It’s not a character flaw. It’s not you suddenly “not being able to handle life.” It’s capacity changing while expectations stay the same.

Once you understand, what’s actually driving it, you stop fighting yourself and start adjusting how you support your brain and body instead of forcing old systems to work in a new season.

If this feels familiar, you are not alone and there is a reason it feels this steep. Comment “THIS” if you’ve been feeling this shift too.

Every great service starts with a personal story.

I didn't just study perimenopausal ADHD—I lived it. What happens when lifelong ADHD collides with perimenopause? For many women, it feels like everything suddenly stops working.

After 20 years in healthcare, I found myself struggling with the same brain fog and overwhelm as my patients — while being told it was “just part of aging.”

That’s why I started Ash Tree. Because “normal” lab results aren’t the same as optimal health, and women deserve care that truly understands the connection between hormones, ADHD, and midlife health.

At Ash Tree Hormone, our journey began with a commitment to supporting women navigating the intersection of ADHD and perimenopause. From our first client to developing the unique ASH Method, each step has been guided by compassion and a desire to make hormonal wellness accessible and empowering.

This is more than a practice; it's a mission rooted in empathy and driven by results.
