May is Mental Health Awareness Month
As a therapist, I’ve spent years helping others navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, and trauma. But here’s something I don’t always talk about: I’ve been there too.
I know what it’s like to sit on the other side of the room. To feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of where to turn. Mental health struggles don’t discriminate—they affect therapists, doctors, teachers, parents, students, and everyone in between.
My own experience has made me a better therapist. It’s taught me deep empathy, patience, and the power of simply being seen and heard.
This month, I want to remind you:
✅ It’s okay to ask for help.
✅ Therapy is not weakness—it’s a courageous step.
✅ Healing isn’t linear, but it is possible.
✅ You are not alone.
Whether you're in therapy, considering it, or just trying to make it through the day—I'm proud of you. Keep going.
— A therapist who’s human too 💙
