Someone is trying to ignore the pervasive thought that they should focus on their day job, but instead, they're making magic potions. 🙋‍♀️ It's me. This is a cream with aloe and calendula. Aloe is amazing! It can pe*****te all 7 layers of the skin, and on its own contains so many components that are good for our skin, but combined with calendula, it does even more. Calendula is antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory. It works wonders on dry skin, psoriasis, eczema, and other skin conditions. $9 for a 3.4 oz bottle. Final endeavor of the day: prickly lettuce salve made the slow way (6 week steep in oil). I'm anxious to see if there is a difference in potency with different methods. I made three different batches: lavender, peppermint, and ginger. And now to clean my kitchen. Ughhh. I am so messy.

My first time making fire cider! We will use this as a daily tonic during cold and flu season. It is filled with roots, herbs, and fruits that are high in antioxidants and are antimicrobial and antiviral. I will say that between grating the horseradish and chopping the habenero peppers that my sinuses are clear and may stay that way through the cold and flu season. 👃🍊🍋🫚🍋‍🟩🧄🌶🧅

I had a bag of ice left over from the Liber-Tea for All event. I didn't want to waste it, so I made rosemary hydrosol. Anyone have thinning hair? Rosemary water stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and contains ursolic and rosmarinic acid that promote hair growth. $5 for a spray bottle of it. $4 for a refill.

On a side note, does anyone have any of my hydrosol bottles? 😁I'm missing several.

I have discovered my new favorite plant, well it's technically a w**d. Prickly lettuce is amazing! It took over a corner of my garden space, so I decided to research its medicinal properties. Holy cow! Among other uses, it is a natural pain reliever. I decided to make a tincture and a salve with it. I did a quick process salve (9 hours) and a slow process salve (6 weeks) for comparison purposes, but I tested out the quick salve and wow! I have been dealing with a flare up of horrible hip pain from a childhood injury. Last night, I could hardly walk, but after using the salve, I was able to do my physical therapy exercises and even woke up pain free!
