The 2024 TRAVERSE Study is a multicenter randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled, non-inferiority trial of testosterone therapy that studied over 5000 men 45-80 for 4 years who have a history of cardiovascular disease or are at high risk for cardiovascular disease.
This study found that these men had no increase in major cardiac events (heart attack, stroke) or exacerbation of enlarged prostate and/or prostate cancer while being treated for low testosterone.
