BIG NEWS!

I am so excited to officially share that Green Bay Pediatric Therapy now has a permanent home!

As of this week, I began seeing clients in my new clinic space located on the lower level of Lux Life Chiropractic in De Pere. Having a dedicated therapy space has been a dream of mine, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving children and families in our community from this location.

Whether your child needs support with speech sounds, language development, social communication, or fluency, I am here to help. I offer individualized, play-based therapy designed to help children build confidence and communication skills in a supportive environment.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙

At Green Bay Pediatric Therapy, we celebrate all of the unique ways kids communicate, learn, play, and connect with the world around them. Autism is not one size fits all, and every child brings their own strengths, personality, interests, and perspective.

If that thought has crossed your mind, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Here’s what working with us looks like, step by step.

First, reach out!

Second, let's talk through it.
We’ll listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and explain the process in plain language, no pressure at all.

Third, lets make sure we’re the right fit!
Every child and family is different. We’ll talk honestly about whether our services are the best match for your child’s needs. If we are not a right fit for each other, we will connect you with other providers in our network that will better suit your needs.

Fourth, schedule an evaluation.
If it feels right, we’ll move forward with scheduling an evaluation to see if further services are needed.

You don't need to have all the answers. We are just a starting point and we are available to answer any of the questions that you may have.

Hi, I’m Hannah, a pediatric speech language pathologist and the owner of Green Bay Pediatric Therapy.

Here at Green Bay Pediatric Therapy, we support children and families through play-based, evidenced-informed speech and language therapy with services that meet kids where they are at.

A little bit more about me. I am a mom to the best little ladies around. When I am not working, you can find me spending time with family, reading a good book and drinking a cup of coffee.

I’ll be sharing tips, education, and a look into what therapy can actually look like for families!

What sounds should my child be saying? Let's talk about it!

To make speech sounds, a person uses their tongue, palate, lips, teeth and jaw to form different sounds to make words.

As children develop, they are learning how to use the parts of their mouth in order to produce and discover new sounds. As children learn new sounds, their speech isn't perfect, AND THAT'S OKAY!!!

Speech sounds should be mastered by the following ages:
2-3 years: P, B, T, D, K, G, M, N, NG, F, H, Y, W
4 years: V, S, Z, SH, CH, J, L
5 years: R, ZH, TH (voiced)
6 years: TH (voiceless)

(McLeod and Crowe, 2020)

Need some tips and tricks for kiddos who are not making the appropriate speech sounds: MODEL, MODEL, MODEL! If your kiddo is saying the wrong sounds, repeat what they say by using the correct sound production. Try not to imitate their incorrect speech production!
