We had a very special visitor stop by Our Legacy Museum today and bring along some amazing donations for our collection!

We can't give away all the details just yet, but trust us, history lovers are going to want to see these treasures for themselves.

You'll have to visit the museum after we open to discover the incredible items that were added to our growing collection and learn the stories behind them.

Every donation of artifacts helps us preserve and share the rich history of our community, and we're grateful to everyone who contributes to keeping these stories alive.

What should you expect on your first visit to the Georgia Archives?

When you arrive, you will check in at the security desk and register to use the Reference Room. Some personal items are not permitted inside, but we have lockers are available on-site so you can store them during your visit.

Once you are registered, Reference Staff can help you get oriented, explain how to use finding aids, and show you how to request records.

You do not need to know exactly where every record is located before you come. Bring the names, places, dates, and questions you already have, and be prepared to follow the research one step at a time.
