7 Things to Avoid on Your Spiritual Path
Spiritual Path is about remembering what is, what you are, and what you will Always Be.
1. Do not try to ascend or escape physical reality. Spiritual reality is not an escape it is the key, an invitation back into truly living. You are here for a reason. Spirit chose to use experience matter though your body. Through your experiences, through your relationships, your laughter, your grief, your pain, your creation, your play. That being said, the only way out is in. And that is only going to bring you out again. The whole point of this is for spirit, the soul that you are, the fractal expression of source that you are to experience itself light incarnated, and into form (HU-Man) “light made manifest”
So the point of all this is to embrace your humanness while also remembering “what you are”.
2. Thinking there is only one right way. In a world full of mass information and people who think they know the only way to get back to source, God, Universe, All that is, Whatever you want to call it. You can not abandon the truth found within you. The absolute truth is not in a book, it is not in some teaching, it is not in some practice, its within you. You are the truth. That being said, listen to the internal GPS beating in your chest and let love do the rest.
3. Do not be afraid to cut people, places, environments out, old habits out of your experience. As you remember more of who you are you will become more sensitive to the frequencies and the energies that you allow within your field. Most will fall away with pure resonance. But there are the cases where you have to close the door. You have to say “this isn’t me anymore”. I know who I am and this doesn’t serve me. Boundaries is not a lack of love, discernment is not judgement, walking away is not failure. You are allowed to protect what you are remembering, you are allowed to protect who you truly are.
4. Don’t shrink yourself to fit into outgrown environments, family, sometimes people only know the version of you that existed before you knew yourself. That doesn’t mean you have to shrike to make them comfortable. You don’t and you don’t have to perform your new identity either. Just be you-authentically and unapologetically be it. BE the truth that you know and if THEY have eyes to see and ears to hear they will resonate. If not let them be.
5. Becoming so spiritually strict that you forget how to live at first on this path is very easy to become consumed by our practices, our disciplines, our rituals and rules. Discipline is great, devotion is beautiful. Spirituality is not meant to be another cage. Build structures that support you but remain fluid enough to let spirit move through you as you for you. Leave room for spontaneous action. Leave room for laughter, leave room for life.
6. Avoid the spiritual ego. The spiritual ego is still ego. It just found spiritual words to keep itself alive. You having more awareness does not make you better than someone who has less awareness. It does not make you better than the person beside you, does not make you better than the grass, does not make you better than the wind, and the ants, and the birds, and the bees, than the music, then the stranger walking down the street. Because when SEPARATION DISSOLVES you remember you were all of it. So how could you be better than WHAT YOU ARE?
7. Thinking you have somewhere to get to, something you can become. Family you are already whole, every step of this journey is another remembering. You do not have to become something that you are not. And you don’t have to arrive somewhere else. You need to remember you are exactly where you need to be right now. And you will always be exactly where you need to be right now, that is how this works. There is nothing to become and there is nowhere to go. There is nowhere to go. That being said. There is everything to surrender, and right here to be eternally.

Being in that therapeutic field for 30 years and a spiritual intuitive all my life, I've held the belief that the physical and spiritual aspects of a persons life can not be separated as their personal experience. Some people are more in tune with this than others but to hold that sacred safe space for a person is crucial. I have melding this belief in other practices I have owned but it has been in the background. I decided when I founded Pivot's 9 1/2 years ago this Trauma Center was going to embrace clients full life experience; both physical and spiritual. However, it takes clinical discernment of the practitioner to understand the depth of spiritual experiences so a person is not "labeled or diagnosed" with a mental illness that will follow them for life. This is what makes Pivot's stand out and different for the people seeking help. So many people have been traumatize by being labeled as having delusions or hallucinations, when they are actually clairvoyant (ability to see) or clairaudient, (ability to hear), when they are clairsentient ( ability to feel energy). Or being diagnosed with phantosmia (a hallucination of smelling something no one else does) when they may actually have the ability of clairolfaction, (ability to smell). Finally, when a client presents with information that they just know. In the medical model they would be diagnosed with psychosis, but by discerning they could have claircognizance (ability of clear knowing). So what is it the helps that practitioner to discern between a mental health diagnosis and an actual ability? Answering this question: How is that person able to function in their life, the persons connection to reality, and their level of stress or distress. The biggest barrier I have found in my career is that most people hesitate to even discuss these important aspects of their life for fear of being labeled. At Pivot's you will be fully supported and understood. Call us today or email us for support. 888-458-5199 or [email protected]
