WHAT’S YOUR RELATIONSHIP ACTUALLY WORTH TO YOU?

We say our health matters. Our happiness matters. Our relationship matters.

But there’s usually a number where our brain starts negotiating with those values. 💭

“That’s too much money.”
“I don’t have that kind of time.”
“That feels like too much effort.”

So ask yourself:

At what level of investment—in time, money or personal energy—do you start deprioritizing your own happiness or your relationship’s survival?

We invest in homes. Education. Vacations. Careers. Our children. Our physical health.

Yet investing deeply in the relationship we wake up inside every day can somehow feel optional.

There isn’t one “right” amount.

I want you to notice your number.

The number where something inside you starts saying:

“I’m not worth that.”
“We’re not worth that.”

Then ask yourself whether that number is actually aligned with your values. ❤️‍🔥

Because sometimes the better question isn’t:

“How much will it cost us to fix this?”

It’s:

“What is it costing us to keep living like this?” 👇🏼

“Maybe this is just as good as it gets.”

It isn’t.

AND. Enjoy it. ↓

I think we’ve gotten this idea of “wanting more” completely wrong.

Wanting more from your relationship doesn’t automatically mean you’re unhappy, ungrateful or with the wrong person.

You can absolutely LOVE the life you’ve built together and still want more passion inside of it.

You can adore your partner and miss them.

You can feel incredibly lucky and still want to be touched more.

You can be proud of the family you’ve created and want to remember what it feels like to be lovers—not just the two people responsible for keeping all of it running. 🫶🏼

That’s actually one of my favorite things about long-term love.

You don’t have to destroy what you have to create something new inside of it.

So yes… enjoy the hell out of this version of your relationship. 🌺

Notice what’s good. Celebrate what survived. Appreciate the boring Tuesday nights and inside jokes and the person who knows exactly how you take your coffee.

AND keep asking:

“What else could we experience together?”

Because “this is good” and “I want more for us” can exist in the exact same relationship.

If you love your partner but feel more like ROOMMATES lately, comment ROOMMATES and I’ll show you HOW to start rebuilding your romantic energy over the next 28 days. ❤️‍🔥

CONFIDENT WOMEN DON’T COMPETE 😎

One of the most unexpected lessons I’ve learned as my work has grown is that not every woman will celebrate another woman becoming more powerful.

As my recognition, wealth, opportunities, and impact expand, I expected some resistance…

What I didn’t expect was how often it would come from women I genuinely wanted standing beside me.

I’ve watched my success activate insecurity, comparison, resentment, and sometimes an almost visceral sense of unfairness in women I care about.

And for a while, i learned to stay quiet.

Don’t share the adventure until it’s booked.
Don’t announce the deal until it’s signed.
Don’t celebrate too loudly until the accomplishment is ready to launch.

Sometimes your expansion becomes the mirror someone else didn’t want to look into.

Success can bring up insecurity, comparison, or resentment—but it can also inspire collaboration, generosity, and support.

And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is choose to celebrate another woman without making her success about our own perceived lack.

We already carry enough, my loves.

We’re expected to grow and maintain families, remain emotionally available, care for everyone around us, and somehow become financially independent and wildly successful in purposeful careers?

At the very least, we should have each other.

I don’t want fewer powerful women around me…

I want an entire ARMY of them 💃🏻👯‍♀️

🔥 Women building businesses
🔥 Women creating art
🔥 Women raising families
🔥 Women making money
🔥 Women taking up space
🔥 Women changing the whole d*mn world

I want women who can cheer for one another without turning everything into a competition.

Women who share opportunities, open doors, recommend each other, collaborate generously, and celebrate the wins.

Your success does not steal from mine.
Your beauty doesn’t diminish mine.
Your wealth doesn’t threaten mine.
Your recognition doesn’t erase mine.

There is room for us ALL. Share your win in the comments 🦋

YOUR RELATIONSHIP DIDN’T JUST “LOSE THE SPARK.” 🔥

Sometimes, roommate mode is protection.

Because intimacy requires vulnerability—and vulnerability feels a whole lot harder when your relationship has accumulated years of rejection, resentment, criticism, disappointment or emotional disconnection.

So you adapt.

You stop initiating because being rejected hurts.

You stop sharing because feeling misunderstood hurts.

You stop asking for what you need because being disappointed hurts.

You keep the household running. You parent. You pay bills. You coordinate schedules. You function REALLY well together.

But functioning together isn’t the same thing as feeling each other.

And eventually, emotional distance can start feeling safer than risking another failed attempt at connection.

That’s why I don’t believe the solution to roommate mode is simply “date your partner again.”

You have to understand what the distance is protecting first. 🧠❤️

Then you can work on making emotional, physical and romantic closeness feel safe enough to return.

✨ Comment ROOMMATES and I’ll show you HOW to start rebuilding your relationship in 28 days.

SOMETIMES THE THING YOU LOVE MOST IS ALSO THE THING YOU FEAR MOST.

It’s been a devastating year of weather in Hawaiʻi. Humbling, to say the least, when Mother Nature reminds you just how little control we actually have.

And ironically, what I love most about the magic of this place is also what can feel the scariest:

The seclusion.

Or maybe… the protection.

Never has a physical place truly felt like home to me until I came here. Somehow, in the middle of the f*cking ocean, the noise, chaos and rat race of the mainland lost its power.

There is something sacred about being this far away.

The distance is a shield. It quiets the world, protects my peace, and gives my spirit room to breathe.

But that same distance can become a wall.

When the ocean is your sanctuary, it can also be your barrier. When the world feels far away, help can feel far away too. The very isolation that protects you can leave you exposed.

Because when there’s nowhere to go in a crisis… what do you do?

When you’re so far away from the rest of the world that your problems and pain can feel distant to everyone else, how do you continue being part of their world when what’s happening there can feel completely incongruous with the reality happening here?

These storms have been another reminder that everything we deeply love carries duality.

The qualities that give something its magic can also be the qualities that make it vulnerable.

Peace and isolation.
Protection and exposure.
Beauty and danger.
Gratitude and fear.

You don’t get to selectively experience only one side of being alive.

Maybe the work isn’t trying to eliminate the uncomfortable side.

Maybe it’s learning how to sway with both without losing your center.

Sending so much love, positive energy and safety to everyone impacted by these storms. 🤍

If you’ve been impacted, drop a 🤍 below so we can send some collective love your way.

You’re not just grieving who you lost. You’re grieving what was supposed to happen next. ❤️‍🩹

One of the hardest parts of relationship grief is that so much of what you lose never physically existed.

You can pack their clothes into a box. Change the sheets. Move homes. Divide belongings. Delete photos.

But where do you put the future you already emotionally lived inside?

The marriage you thought would last. The children you imagined. The places you planned to travel. The version of them you trusted. The story you had already written about who you would become together.

And sometimes, you’re also grieving backward.

Because when new information changes what you believed about your relationship, suddenly you’re reprocessing memories you thought you understood.

That’s why “just move on” has never made much sense to me as a relationship therapist.

You’re not processing one ending.

You’re integrating the loss of a person, a lifestyle, an imagined future AND sometimes an entire understanding of your past.

That deserves more than telling yourself you should be over it by now. 🫶

It deserves language.

If you truly didn’t care anymore, you probably wouldn’t be this angry. 🔥

The antithesis of love isn’t hate.

It’s APATHY.

Love has energy. ❤️
Anger has energy. 🔥
Resentment has A LOT of energy. ⚡️

Resentment is stored relational energy—the hurt, unmet needs, disappointment and broken expectations that are STILL emotionally active because some part of you still cares about what happened… and what happens next.

That’s why I don’t automatically see anger between partners and think, “the love is gone.”

I pay closer attention when you stop asking. Stop fighting. Stop reaching. Stop hoping.

When you just… stop caring.

Because anger still says:

❤️‍🔥 THIS MATTERS TO ME.

And where there is energy, there is possibility for movement, reformation and CHANGE.

The goal isn’t to stay angry.

It’s to take all that 🔥 trapped inside resentment and give it somewhere productive to GO—toward repair, understanding, intimacy and each other. 🫶

⚡️ Ready to start clearing the resentment between you?

Comment ROOMMATES and I’ll send you my 28-Day Relationship Energy Course to teach you HOW to heal resentment and rebuild connection at home.

Nobody warns you that chronic illness can become the third person in a marriage 💔

Alex and I were recently interviewed for an upcoming documentary about love, where we shared how chronic illness has shaped our 17-year relationship. 🎥❤️

For the first 4 years, Alex’s Leber’s meant vision loss, forced limitations and me overfunctioning in areas like driving—not because either of us chose those roles.

Then, the universe gifted him sight again… and my genetic conditions began to manifest. ✨

Ehlers-Danlos. POTS. Raynaud’s. Daily dislocations. Debilitating migraines.

Six years later, just as my health stabilized, an unexpected high-risk pregnancy destabilized my body all over again. 🤰🏻

For 17 years, we’ve had to adapt to new roles, restrictions and seasons where responsibilities simply couldn’t be equal.

As a relationship therapist, I see how easily the grief, frustration and exhaustion of illness can become redirected toward the person beside you.

Chronic illness can become its own Energetic Affair—consuming so much physical and emotional energy that little remains for each other.

We learned that instead of demanding our relationship always look the same, we had to redefine happiness, reciprocity and partnership in every new chapter.

Your relationship doesn’t need perfect health to be healthy. It needs two people willing to keep adapting—and finding their way back to each other. 🤍

Questioning your worth lately? Here’s your message (sent by the Universe). ✨

You are a multidimensional, complex human being who is constantly learning, healing, expanding and becoming.

And one of the gifts of a high-quality partner is having someone who reminds you of the fullness of who you are—especially in the moments when you’re struggling to see it yourself. 🪞

But remembering who you are is also your responsibility.

Try this:

Every morning, stand in front of a mirror. Look directly into your own eyes and say each of these OUT LOUD:

✨ I am kind.
✨ I am loved.
✨ I am abundant.
✨ I am smart.
✨ I am capable.
✨ I am powerful.
✨ I am capable of changing the world.
✨ I am wealthy.
✨ I am healthy.
✨ I am deserving.
✨ I am desired.
✨ I am beautiful.
✨ I am worthy of being seen.
✨ I am worthy of being heard.
✨ I am worthy of receiving love.
✨ I am worthy of receiving pleasure.
✨ I am worthy of taking up space.
✨ I am worthy of the life I desire.
✨ I trust myself.
✨ I believe in myself.
✨ I choose myself.
✨ I honor myself.
✨ I am proud of who I am becoming.
✨ I am allowed to evolve.
✨ I am allowed to want more.
✨ I am open to receiving more.
✨ I create abundance around me.
✨ I bring value into the lives of others.
✨ I am deeply lovable.
✨ I am enough exactly as I am today.
✨ I am becoming more fully myself every day.

Don’t rush through them.

Look yourself in the eyes. Hear your own voice saying them. Let yourself actually RECEIVE the words. 🤍

A beautiful partner can remind you who you are.

But there is something incredibly powerful about becoming the person who reminds yourself.

DM or comment SCRIPTS and I’ll send you my free Emotion-Focused Couples Scripts to help you be free and expressive in your relationship. 💙
