Some anglers catch fish. Jose Wejebe taught a generation why it mattered.

On August 29, Captain Jose Wejebe was inducted into the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame.

Seventeen seasons of Spanish Fly. Millions of people who had never seen a flat, a tailing permit or a fly line, watching a Cuban-born Key West guide show them what was out there. He said he always found it easier to show people the coolest things about fishing than to tell them another fish story. So, he showed them. Conservation. Patience. Respect for the fish on the other end.

Tournament titles in the most prestigious tarpon and bonefish competition circuits. World records put in other anglers' hands from the poling platform. Days given to Make-A-Wish, to Redbone Catch a Cure, to kids who needed water more than they needed a trophy.

He fished in our lenses. We're still following his lead.

Congratulations to Jose and the entire Wejebe family who carry on his legacy.

This one's for . A seventh-generation Florida Keys guide, a devoted husband and dad, and one of the most genuine conservation advocates we know. He doesn't just talk about protecting the resource. He lives it, every single day, on and off the boat.

For Brandon, the water has never just been a job. It's where he grew up, where he's raising his own kids, and where he feels most at home. Poling a skiff across the flats he's known his whole life.

We're so proud that work was recognized with the CFCW x Costa Steward of the Year award. That steady, unwavering commitment is exactly why he earned it.

More than an ambassador, Brandon is Costa family, and we're grateful to have him a part of ours.

Some people leave behind memories. Others leave behind a way of seeing the world. Flip did both. His curiosity, kindness, and love for wild places continue to shape the way so many of us see the water.
