You Matter Too

You Matter Too I created this page from a place of purpose, healing, and love. You Matter! is more than a mental health page—it's a safe space.

A space for people who feel unseen, unheard, overwhelmed, or simply in need of a reminder that they are not alone.

You Matter.
Not because of what you do.
Not because of how much you give.
Not because you hold it all together.

You matter because you exist.
Because your story is still unfolding.
Because your presence makes a difference — even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.

This space is your reminder:
You’re seen. You’re valued. You’re never alone here.

Today’s gentle reminder:
You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to explain your emotions.
You don’t have to be “on” all the time to be worthy of love.

Healing takes time. Some days it looks like growth.
Other days, it looks like surviving — and that’s okay.

Whatever today looks like for you, I’m proud of you for making it this far.
You matter — always.

If today feels heavy…
Be gentle with yourself.
You don’t need to carry it all alone.
Talk about it. Cry if you need to. Breathe.
Healing isn’t about pretending you’re okay — it’s about giving yourself permission not to be.

You’re not weak for feeling.
You’re human. And you matter.

Your wellness isn’t a luxury — it’s a priority.

Today, take a moment to check in with yourself:
• Have you taken deep breaths today?
• Drank enough water?
• Given yourself a kind thought?

Healing isn’t just about the big steps — it’s in the small, daily moments of care.
Let today be a reset, not a rush.

Drop a “yes” in the comments if you’re choosing yourself today.

Today, give yourself permission to move a little slower.
To breathe a little deeper.
To check in with your heart before checking your to-do list.

Mindfulness isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being present—even if just for a moment.

Ask yourself today:
• What do I need emotionally right now?
• What’s one thing I can let go of to lighten my mind?
• How can I show myself a little more grace?

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to show up for yourself, one breath at a time.

Your soul is whispering today:
“You don’t have to carry it all.”
“You are allowed to rest.”
“You are growing, even when it feels slow.”

Today, choose peace over pressure.
Choose joy over judgment.
Choose yourself—not out of selfishness, but out of self-respect.

The most soulful thing you can do sometimes is simply allow yourself to be—without fixing, without proving, without rushing.

You are enough, exactly as you are.
And today, you deserve softness, hope, and light.

Autistic individuals experience the world differently, especially when it comes to:
• Sensory processing (sounds, textures, lights)
• Social communication
• Routines and patterns

Autism is not caused by bad parenting, vaccines, or a lack of empathy.
In fact, many autistic people feel deeply—but express it differently.

The key to support is understanding, not judgment.
When we embrace neurodiversity, we create space for everyone to thrive as they are.

Depression can affect memory.
It’s not “laziness” or “being forgetful”—it’s a neurological effect of a real mental health condition.

When someone is depressed, the brain’s hippocampus (which helps with memory and learning) can shrink or become less active. This can lead to:
• Trouble concentrating
• Forgetting words or tasks
• Difficulty recalling positive memories
• Feeling “foggy” or mentally drained

This is often called “depression brain fog.”

It’s real. It’s frustrating. And it’s not your fault.

The good news? With treatment, therapy, and support, many people find their focus and memory improve as they heal.

Be gentle with your mind—it’s doing its best.

Excuse my rant…but RFK is slowly undoing everything that mental health professionals & advocates have worked towards. It truly breaks my heart bc I’m so passionate about psychology and mental health. People like me have worked tirelessly to combat stigma, raise awareness, and normalize conversations around mental illness. We’ve made progress toward a world where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health.

But now, we’re watching that progress unravel.

From undermining autism research by promoting discredited vaccine theories, to making dismissive comments that portray individuals with autism and other mental health conditions as incapable or broken—he is actively reversing the understanding and compassion that professionals and lived-experience communities have fought for.

I’ll end this by saying…mental illness is not a conspiracy. It’s not fake. It’s not a political tool. It’s real, it’s personal, and the people that have these illnesses deserve way more respect.

Healing isn’t always about doing more—it’s about feeling more.
It’s learning to sit with your emotions, instead of running from them.
It’s giving yourself grace when your mind is tired.
It’s saying, “I’m doing the best I can with what I have today.”

Therapy doesn’t just happen in a session.
It happens in quiet moments.
In honest self-reflection.
In setting boundaries.
In choosing yourself, even when it’s hard.

Today, give yourself credit for every small step you’ve taken toward healing—seen or unseen.

You matter. Your growth matters. And your peace is worth protecting.
