🌿Purple Dead Nettle Salve - Client Review

This is the first season of having my own salve on the shelf to share with my clients and so far the reception has been great! Here is our very first review:

"So, the day you gave me the salve.. I wacked the s**t out of my elbow. So for the last 6 days, after every shower.. I’ve applied the purple salve stuff to it… after day 2, it stopped hurting.. today, it is basically gone!! I took photos and labeled them to show you the progress!
Usually bruises last like a month on me!"

I responded with "Holy smokes my dude. That stuff really is magic huh?!"

"It hurt 🤣 it really is! I’ve never heard of it our uses it until now and I’m a believer now!!"

I'm so glad you love the little gift that nature left us this spring, right here in the yard of The Well & Free Collective! Doesn't get much more local than that.

Purple Dead Nettle Salve is great for:
-minor cuts and scrapes
-Bruises
-bug bites
-general itchy skin (I'm told it helped with Poison Sumac but I have no evidence from the source)

Let's talk about SMRT

SMRT or Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique is a combination of myofascial release and positional release which allows for deeper work to be done with less pressure. It is a slow technique that encourages the nervous system to relax, allowing the tissues to release with little to no force.

🌿 Positional Release is neurological technique that uses comfort positioning to quiet the body’s protective reflexes and release tension from the inside out. (This is a very simplified explanation)

✨How it works:
The practitioner gently moves the body into a position of ease where the tissue feels the least amount of tension. Holding this position for a short period sends a signal to the nervous system that the area is safe, allowing the muscle spindle fibers to reset.

✨What it influences:
-Muscle guarding
-Protective holding patterns
-Acute or sensitive areas
-Nervous system overactivation
-Pain caused by neuromuscular tension

✨Why it works:
Instead of stretching or pressing into tension, PR uses ease to deactivate the body’s “danger” response. When the nervous system stops guarding, the tissue releases spontaneously.

🌿Myofascial Release is a slow, sustained technique that works directly with the fascia, the connective tissue web that surrounds and supports every structure in the body.

✨How it works:
MFR uses gentle, steady pressure and long holds to soften restrictions, improve tissue glide, and restore mobility. The practitioner meets the barrier and waits for the tissue to melt and reorganize.

✨What it influences:
-Fascial adhesions
-Chronic tension patterns
-Postural imbalances
-Restricted movement
-Pain caused by fascial tightness

✨Why it works:
Fascia responds to time, pressure, and presence. When the tissue feels safe and supported, it naturally lengthens and rehydrates, creating a structural shift that can be felt throughout the body.

This is why SMRT is used strategically throughout almost every session I provide. Its gentle voice speaks volume in the chaos of the room.
Deep release, less recovery time.

🌿 Calling Local Wellness Practitioners: Let’s Educate, Empower & Elevate Our Community
To the healers, teachers, and wellness professionals who pour their gifts into this community this is an open invitation.

We’re seeking local practitioners who feel called to share their craft through a free seminar or low‑cost workshop designed to educate, inspire, and support the people we serve.

Whether your work is rooted in bodywork, energy healing, herbalism, movement, breathwork, mental health, somatic practices, or any modality that nurtures well‑being; your knowledge matters. And our community is hungry for it.

✨Why We’re Doing This
Because wellness grows when it’s shared.
Because education empowers people to take ownership of their health.
Because collaboration strengthens the entire field.
And because accessible offerings create a ripple effect of healing far beyond one session or one classroom.

✨What We’re Looking For
Practitioners who want to offer a workshop or seminar that is:
🌿Educational — teaching a skill, concept, or practice
🌿Accessible — free or low‑cost to the public
🌿Aligned — rooted in genuine care, integrity, and community support
🌿Embodied — reflective of your unique expertise and passion

✨This is an opportunity to:
🌿Share your modality with new audiences
🌿Build trust and visibility within the community
🌿Contribute to a collective mission of holistic well‑being
🌿Connect with other practitioners who value collaboration over competition

If You Feel the Pull
We’d love to hear from you.
Bring your craft. Bring your passion. Bring the part of your work that lights you up.

Together, we can create a space where education, healing, and community meet where people feel supported, practitioners feel seen, and wellness becomes something everyone can access.

✨ Understanding Myofascial Release: A Reset for the Body + Nervous System
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle, highly intentional form of bodywork that focuses on the fascia; the three‑dimensional web of connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, bone, organ, and nerve in the body.
When fascia becomes tight, dehydrated, or restricted, it can limit movement, create pain patterns, and disrupt the body’s natural sense of ease.

MFR works by applying sustained, slow pressure into these restrictions, allowing the tissue to soften, lengthen, and reorganize. It’s less about force and more about listening, meeting the body where it is and inviting it to release from within. Traditionally it is a slow light pressure used, like with all techniques and modalities every massage therapist molds it to their unique skill set

✨Myofascial Release benefits the body on multiple levels:
-Restores mobility by releasing adhesions and restrictions in the fascia
-Reduces chronic tension that traditional massage may not fully access
-Improves posture and alignment by addressing the connective tissue patterns that pull the body out of balance
-Enhances circulation and hydration within the tissues, supporting healthier movement
-Decreases pain by relieving pressure on nerves and restoring natural glide between layers of tissue

Because fascia connects everything, even a small release in one area can create a ripple of relief throughout the entire body.

✨Where the Nervous System Comes In

Fascia is deeply intertwined with the nervous system. It contains an abundance of sensory receptors, more than muscles themselves. Which means it plays a major role in how the body perceives tension, pain, and safety.

When fascia is tight, the nervous system stays on alert.
When fascia softens, the nervous system follows.

Myofascial Release supports nervous system regulation by:
-Activating the parasympathetic response, shifting the body out of fight‑or‑flight
-Reducing protective holding patterns created by stress, trauma, or chronic tension
-Improving proprioception, helping the body feel grounded and safe in space
-Creating slow, sustained input that tells the brain: You can let go now

This is why MFR often feels deeply calming, even emotional, it's not just the tissue releasing, but the nervous system unwinding with it.

Liquid Gold Body Oil- Client feedback

"So wanted to share with you…. I’ve been applying your liquid gold to my little bumps on my arm (that nothing else works on) and keeping track so I can let you know how it goes… I’ve taken photos every night before I apply it, I think it’s helping!"

✨A few weeks later✨

"Your magic gold made my bumps go away! There’s like little scars but that’s it!”

Our Liquid Gold Body Oil truly was created to heal from the inside out!

At The Well & Free Collective, everything we do is rooted in three core value sets.
We seek practitioners who embody these values in their work, and we welcome clients who honor them within their own self‑valuation and wellness journey.

✨ Transparency & Honesty
True excellence begins with openness and integrity.
Transparency builds trust—a clear window into intentions, communication, and care. Honesty ensures truth remains at the center, even in the spaces where transparency alone cannot reach.

These values guide every interaction within our Collective. They shape how we show up as practitioners and as human beings, offering clients the rare assurance that their care is grounded in authenticity, candor, and respect. This isn’t just business. It’s a philosophy of trust and the foundation of meaningful, lasting relationships.

✨ Self Before Others
“You can’t pour from an empty cup” isn’t just a saying—it’s a principle of sustainability.
Prioritizing oneself is not selfish; it’s wise. When our own needs are met, we can serve others from a place of fullness rather than depletion.

Within our Collective, this value elevates the work beyond simple service. It creates a culture where practitioners and clients alike honor their own well‑being, allowing every offering to be rooted in balance, vitality, and genuine presence.

✨ Dependability & Accountability
Excellence is built on reliability—and reliability is strengthened by accountability.
We expect our community to honor their commitments, show up consistently, and hold themselves to the same standard of integrity they expect from us.

Dependability builds trust. Accountability builds character. Together, they create the standard of distinction that defines The Well & Free Collective: a space where discipline, respect, and follow‑through are part of the wellness journey.

These values aren’t just words on a wall.
They are the heartbeat of our work, the compass for our practitioners, and the foundation of the community we’re building one aligned, intentional experience at a time.
