Liberty Ministry

Liberty Ministry If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here! 2 Cor. 5:17 So how can you help?

Liberty Ministry is a life rehabilitation and discipleship program of Christian Services, Inc. This is a bible-centered program where God’s word guides structure, discipline, and regulations, leading men to learn, think, and act differently as new creations in Christ. The Liberty Program teaches students to maintain integrity in behavior, participate in group counseling and Bible study, and attend

church activities. Students also serve our ministry by assisting less fortunate members of the community where students grow spiritually and emotionally. We expect our students to demonstrate responsibility and initiative by accepting instruction and correction. The staff of Christian Services provides supervision at both the CSI Center in Downtown Hattiesburg and the Land of Liberty Campus in Ellisville. CSI strives to serve ALL individuals who seek to break the chains and cycles of addictions, life binding situations, and those who want to grow closer to Jesus in a controlled living environment. We are always on the lookout for Prayer Partners for students, Christian books, hygiene products, sponsored movies, journals, and recreational activities. Please continue to lift these men in prayer and investments. If you are interested and are looking for more information on our program, visit our website at christianserve.org/liberty-ministries or call us at 601.582.5683.

This week, we had the privilege of celebrating something very special at Liberty Ministries!

We threw a baby shower for one of our participants, Jonah, and his fiancée, as they prepare to welcome their baby boy into the world. This will be Jonah’s first child, and we are incredibly excited for him as he steps into this new season of life and prepares to become a father.

At Liberty, we believe recovery is about so much more than leaving an old life behind. It’s about building a new one. It’s about restored relationships, new responsibilities, healthy families, and becoming the men God has called us to be.

We’re thankful that we get to walk alongside Jonah during such an important chapter of his story.

Will you join the Liberty Ministries family in celebrating Jonah, his fiancée, and their baby boy? Please keep this growing family in your prayers as they prepare for his arrival!

We can’t wait to meet the newest little member of the Liberty family!

Today is a day worth celebrating!

Please join us in congratulating Michael Soelman on graduating from the Liberty Ministries program and Corey Watts, Adam Saul, and Carson Holt on advancing into Phase 2 of their recovery journey.

Watching these men surrender their lives to Christ, embrace the process, and grow into the men God created them to be has been an incredible blessing. Their stories are a reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace and that real transformation is possible when we trust Him. We would like to thank Dr. Don Palermo for giving us an on time word, and Jason Cascio for leading its in worship.

While today is a milestone, it isn't the finish line. It's the beginning of a new season filled with new opportunities, new challenges, and continued growth. We ask that you would continue to lift these men up in prayer as they walk faithfully into the next chapter God has for them. Your prayers truly make a difference.

If you've ever wondered how you can be part of what God is doing through Liberty Ministries, we'd love to invite you to come visit us. See the ministry firsthand, meet the men whose lives are being transformed, and discover how you can partner with us through prayer, volunteering, or financial support. Together, we are watching God restore lives, families, and futures one man at a time.

Today, we celebrate one of the greatest moments in the life of a believer.

Please join us in celebrating the baptisms of Carson Holt, Tradarious Gibson, Adam Saul, and Jonah Williford!
There is nothing more encouraging than watching the Holy Spirit transform lives. To witness these men publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ and take this next step of obedience is an incredible blessing.

At Liberty Ministries, we have the privilege of seeing God restore hope, renew minds, heal hearts, and reveal true identity in Christ. These baptisms are a reminder that God is still changing lives, and we are grateful to be part of what He is doing.
Please continue to pray for Carson, Tradarious, Adam, and Jonah as they continue to grow in their walk with the Lord. We believe this is only the beginning of all that God has planned for their lives.

To God be all the glory!

A Story of Grace and Restoration
By Jamie McCoy Jr.

I grew up in a loving home and knew from a young age that God had a calling on my life. Unfortunately, I spent many years running from that calling instead of embracing it. During those years, I experienced a lot of pain and hardship. Family members passed away, relationships failed, and I found myself constantly getting into trouble at school.

At just 13 years old, I began using ma*****na as a way to cope with the hurt and confusion I felt, especially after my parents divorced. Those choices eventually led me into gang life and heavy drinking. By the age of 17, I had dropped out of school. I was working and trying to earn my GED, but I struggled to focus and move forward. Looking back, I can see that I was trying to build a life while ignoring God's purpose for me.
When I was 18 years old, my first daughter was born. Her birth was a turning point in my life. I gave my life to the Lord and wanted to make changes, but walking away from the gang lifestyle was not easy. The decisions I had made during that season eventually led to my arrest at age 19, and I spent three months in jail.

Even after that experience, I continued to battle the pull of my old life. I returned to drinking heavily and made choices that ultimately cost me my relationship with my former partner and my two daughters. Later, I met the woman who is now my wife. Although I was still struggling with addiction and depression, she stood by me for a season. Eventually, she reached a point where she gave me an ultimatum: her or the substances. Thankfully, I chose her.

Together we built a family and welcomed three more children into our lives. For a while, things went well, but the cycle of good intentions followed by failure continued. My life became a roller coaster of progress and setbacks. Yet through it all, God never removed His hand from me or my family. Even in my darkest moments, He remained faithful.
Deep down, I knew that the substances I was using did not define who I was. I also knew that I could not overcome my struggles on my own. The Lord made it clear to me that I needed help. I reached out to my pastor, L.C. Barnes, and shared where I was in life. During that conversation, his wife told me about her son, who had completed the Liberty Ministries program and was doing well. Through their encouragement and support, I was connected with Liberty Ministries.

I cannot fully express how grateful I am for that opportunity.
Since entering the program, I have gained structure, maturity, and stability. More importantly, I have grown closer to God and built a solid spiritual foundation. Liberty Ministries has helped me recognize the areas of my life that needed healing and change. It has also helped me learn how to love myself in a healthy way and see myself the way God sees me.
I am incredibly thankful for Liberty Ministries and for every person who has invested in my life while I have been here. My prayer is that God will continue to bless this ministry, its staff, supporters, and every future student who walks through its doors.

My life has been forever changed, and I give God all the glory.

🙏 A Special Prayer Request 🙏

Please join us in praying for Danny Mac Foster as he prepares to move to Minnesota and begin a new chapter of life.

After much prayer, Danny feels that the Lord is leading him in a different direction, and while we will certainly miss him, we want to support and encourage him as he follows God’s calling on his life.

We are incredibly thankful for the way Danny allowed God to use him during his time at Liberty Ministries. His servant’s heart, faithfulness, and love for people have made a lasting impact, and we are grateful for all he has poured into this ministry.

Please pray for God’s guidance, protection, and provision as he takes this next step. We look forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to use him in the days ahead.

🚨 A Simple Need Can Make a Big Difference 🚨
Liberty Ministries is in need of a 40-gallon water heater for one of the homes at Camp Liberty.

For the men in our residential recovery program, something as basic as hot water provides comfort, dignity, and a sense of home while they work to rebuild their lives. Your generosity can help ensure they have the necessities they need during this important season of transformation.

If you are able to donate a new or gently used 40-gallon water heater, or would like to help purchase one, please contact Christian Services or stop by to learn how you can help.

"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." — Galatians 6:2

Thank you for partnering with us to restore hope and change lives, one act of kindness at a time. ❤️

Please help if possible!

💧 Help Us Keep the Water Flowing! 💧
The summer heat is here, and at Christian Services, we go through almost a thousand bottles of water every week serving our neighbors in need. Whether it's someone stopping in for a hot meal, picking up assistance, or simply needing relief from the heat, a cold bottle of water can be a tremendous blessing.

We're asking our amazing community to help by donating cases of bottled water. Every bottle given is an opportunity to show the love of Christ through a simple act of kindness.

📍 Donations can be dropped off at Christian Services Monday - Friday 9-4

"For I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink..." — Matthew 25:35

Together, we can make sure no one who comes through our doors leaves thirsty. Thank you for helping us serve with love, compassion, and hope. ❤️💙

Today we celebrate Lance and all he’s accomplished while being a student. He has worked so hard and only has a few short days left until he graduates, he has had a lot of favor dealing with the legal issues he came to us with, he was able to obtain his license today, but most of all his relationship with the Lord is stronger than ever! We are so proud of you, Lance. We look forward to seeing how God is going to continue to use you in the future!
