The Long Island-based advocacy group ERASE Racism held its 25th Anniversary Benefit event earlier this month, giving out awards for anti-racism and anti-discrimination work and awarding scholarships to students who embody the organization’s values.

Honored to join the community at the Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony at Martin Bunky Reid Park as we celebrated freedom, resilience, and the enduring legacy of those who fought for justice and equality.

Thank you to the Westbury/New Cassel NAACP for organizing this meaningful event, and to Councilman Robert Troiano, Jr. and Siela Bynoe for joining in honoring the significance of Juneteenth.

As we raise the flag, we also lift up the values of freedom, opportunity, and unity that continue to guide our communities forward.
