Congratulations to the Graduate!
Lindsey was the first preschooler to enroll with me when I took over Wonder World Preschool back in 2012 (Thanks to her mom, Mary!) It was an honor to attend her High School Graduation party yesterday!
So glad to have been a small part of her journey to this moment and so excited to continue to cheer for her as she take her next steps in life!

Absolutely!
In our preschool, we allow a child's natural curiosity coupled with high quality toys, high-value questions, and lots of time to explore so children can lead their own learning.
When we do projects we make sure they touch on a variety of skills and are based the children's own questions or observations. We then guide them on students on to communicate their learning when they take their projects home to show them off :)

In many cases, children are their own best teachers, we just need to set up the scenarios and give them the time to follow their curiosity.

So many invitations to slow down and wonder.. nature is the perfect opportunity to support children (and adults) in continuing to grow their capacity for curiosity.
In our modern world so many answers are almost too easy to find. Stopping to observe, to wonder, to leave some questions unanswered or open to further open-ended wonder is so good for our brains.

Busy bees today!

We let our Kale plants stay in the ground all winter- we love getting Christmas Kale, as we call it :)
And the side benefit is when it bolts in the spring the bees love it! Last year's kale was absolutely buzzing with bees today! This bee was practically rolling in pollen!
And as you know, Salty the farm cat loves to laze in the kale patch all day too🐾

The cutest little flowers in all the land!
And native to the PNW 💚

I always love when these 'gumdrop' flowers bloom! Though technically called Sea Blush, the bees and I think they look like delicious gum drops!
