A great opportunity and tool for teens to practice social skills 🤝
Help Your Teen Build New Friendships Through Conversation
Looking for a simple way to help your teen build meaningful connections? Try the Fast Friends Challenge, a teen adaptation of the 36 Questions exercise. Teens pair up with someone they don't know well and take turns answering a series of questions that gradually become more personal. In a research study, students who completed the activity reported greater closeness with their conversation partners and were more likely to become friends afterward.
Invite your teen to give it a try—and we’d love to hear how it goes! Teens may have the opportunity to be featured on The Science of Happiness podcast to share their experience. Email [email protected] to tell us about it.
