If you have questions about how your baby is developing, you don’t have to simply “watch and wait.”

Development isn’t only about WHEN your baby reaches a milestone. HOW they get there can be just as important.

Using Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and developmental kinesiology, Dr. Bill looks closely at your baby’s spontaneous movement, posture, breathing, reflexes, symmetry, and ability to stabilize against gravity.

The goal isn’t to find something “wrong.” It’s to better understand what you’re seeing—whether it reflects normal developmental variation or whether additional support or early intervention may be appropriate.

Dr. Bill Tortoriello is a Certified DNS Pediatric Practitioner and one of only eight Certified DNS Instructors in the United States, with experience teaching the DNS pediatric approach to clinicians around the world.

If you have questions about your baby’s:
• Head control
• Tummy time
• Asymmetry or a preferred side
• Rolling
• Sitting
• Crawling
• Posture
• Overall movement development

You don’t have to watch and wonder.
Let’s take a closer look.

Painful pinch in the front of your hip when getting out of the car, climbing stairs, or squatting?

You may have been told your hip is “tight” and just needs more stretching. Sometimes that helps—but sometimes the problem isn’t simply a lack of flexibility.

Your hip doesn’t work alone. Your trunk, pelvis, hip, and leg have to coordinate to create stability and control while you move.

That’s why when I evaluate hip pain, I’m not just asking, “Is the hip tight?” I’m asking, “How is the entire system controlling movement?”

If you’ve been repeatedly stretching or treating your hip without getting the results you want, it may be time for a different look.

Sometimes the right diagnosis starts with a Second Opinion.

How do you know if an exercise is actually making your pain worse? 🤔

In this reel, Dr. Bill Tortoriello shares a simple way to judge whether you should keep going or back off.

One sign to pay attention to: **your pain increases by 2 or more points after an exercise or stretch.** Another is when symptoms begin to **radiate or spread**—for example, neck pain that starts traveling into the shoulder or arm.

That doesn’t always mean you need to stop moving altogether. It may mean adjusting the exercise, reps, or sets.

Not sure which movements are appropriate for your symptoms? At Integrative Movement Solutions, Dr. Bill can evaluate what’s contributing to your pain and help develop an individualized approach to getting you moving comfortably again.

Neck pain shooting into your arm? Numbness or tingling in your hand? Does that mean your next stop has to be a surgeon?

Not necessarily.

An irritated nerve in your neck may explain your symptoms—but it’s only part of the picture. How your trunk, spine, breathing, and movement work together can influence how your neck and shoulders are functioning.

That’s why treatment shouldn’t always stop at the painful area.

If you’re dealing with persistent neck or arm pain, numbness, or tingling, it may be time for a different look.

Schedule an evaluation with Dr. Bill at the link in bio.

The source may be in your neck—but the solution doesn’t always stop there. Sometimes the right diagnosis starts with a Second Opinion.

Is your shoulder moving the way it should? 🤔

Shoulder pain isn’t the only sign that something may be wrong. A noticeable difference in mobility, range of motion, or comfort from one shoulder to the other can be a clue that your shoulder isn’t functioning as well as it should.

In this quick shoulder self-assessment, Dr. Bill Tortoriello demonstrates a few simple movements you can try at home to compare how each shoulder moves.

👉 Does one side feel tighter or more restricted?
👉 Does any movement reproduce your pain or symptoms?
👉 Can one arm move noticeably farther than the other?

If you notice a difference, it may be worth finding out why rather than simply working around it.

At Integrative Movement Solutions in Hinsdale, Dr. Bill evaluates how your shoulder is moving, identifies factors that may be contributing to your symptoms, and develops an individualized plan to help you move and feel better.
