Gagging at mealtime is not always part of the process. Sometimes it is your baby’s way of saying something does not feel right.

When you understand what is behind it, you can support them in a way that actually helps them feel safe eating.

If something feels off, trust that instinct. You do not have to figure it out alone.

A little happy news to share 💛

Little Eaters FL has been nominated for Best Specialty Healthcare Provider in the Best of Florida Awards, and we are feeling so grateful for this recognition.

Supporting families through feeding challenges and celebrating every small win with your little ones is truly the heart of what we do. To be nominated means so much to our team and reminds us how thankful we are for every family that has trusted us along the way.

If Little Eaters FL has been part of your child’s journey, we would be so thankful for your vote. You can vote daily, and every vote means so much to us. Voting for 2026 is currently open and ends on July 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

I’ll be sharing the voting link in stories, so keep an eye out. Thank you for cheering us on and for being part of the Little Eaters family.

Small pressure, repeated every single day, is what shapes the mouth over time. Not braces. Not one exercise. Your tongue. Where it rests quietly, all day, every day, is either supporting the arch or slowly working against it.

If teeth are shifting, this is the first place to look.

Save this for later and share it with a parent who needs to see this 🤍

But it’s not “myofunctional therapy” the way you might think.
Babies don’t do exercises.
They don’t follow instructions.
But that doesn’t mean we wait.

‼️Especially after a release, this is when support matters most.

We use a feeding therapy approach with a myo twist to target:
✔️ lip seal
✔️ tongue function
✔️ oral coordination
✔️ feeding patterns

Through passive, child-led input that works with your baby’s nervous system not against it.
Because function isn’t forced… it’s built.

If your baby had a release and things still feel off, this is often the missing piece.

Your child’s mouth is only the beginning, and the whole body tells the real story. When everything is connected, your approach should be too.

Surgery was only step one 🌬️

Think of it this way: the ENT removes the "roadblock," but Myofunctional Therapy (MFT) teaches the driver how to stay in the right lane.

If your child is still mouth breathing after a tonsillectomy, it is likely because their muscles have "memorized" the old way of breathing. Without retraining the tongue and lips, the habit and the health risks remain.

Swipe through to see why the surgery-only approach often leads to relapse and how MFT helps "reset" the system for better sleep, focus, and growth.

Did you know your child's bedwetting could be connected to how they breathe at night? The research is clear, mouth breathing disrupts the hormone that controls urine production during sleep.

Swipe to learn the signs and what you can actually do about it. Save this for later and share with a parent who needs to see this.
