There is nothing quite like witnessing the quiet power of women taking charge or their birth—let alone twice in back-to-back deliveries! Supporting these incredible parents as they brought their sons into the world is a reminder of why I do this work.

A absolute powerhouse of a mom and a truly beautiful birth! 🌲💚

When a fellow midwife needed a birth coverage backup, I was so honored to step in and answer the call. Being invited into another family’s space during such a sacred moment is a privilege I never take for granted.

This incredible mother was an absolute rockstar, bringing a gorgeous 9 lb 10 oz baby boy smoothly into the world right in the birth tub. Water births are always magical, but watching a mama lean into her power and welcome a big, beautiful baby so peacefully is something extra special.

Huge congratulations to this wonderful family, and deep gratitude to my colleague for trusting me to care for her client. Community, support, and midwifery collaboration at its finest! 💙👶🏼💧

There is nothing quite like watching a mother step into her full power during a home birth. Today, I had the privilege of stepping in for another midwife to support a mama who was the definition of strong-willed, grounded, and fiercely independent.

She knew exactly what her body needed at every single turn, trusting her instincts and guiding her labor with such quiet strength and determination. It was an incredible reminder that birth isn't something done to us—it’s a journey led by the wisdom of the birthing person.

To top off an already beautiful day, we welcomed a precious baby girl into the world, peaceful and surrounded by so much love! 💕🍼

This strong mama had her heart set on welcoming her second baby at home. But when a medical issue entered the picture, the plan shifted. Transferring to the hospital wasn't the original dream, but the care she received there was absolute magic.

She was heard. She was respected. She was empowered to make fully informed, autonomous choices for herself and her baby in a true medical partnership.

And the result? A triumphant, beautiful delivery and the safest arrival of the sweetest baby girl.

Plans change, but the feeling of being supported and honored in your birth experience never should. So incredibly honored to have witnessed and been a part of this family’s beautiful journey. Welcome to the world, little one!

Birth is incredible in every way, but catching a baby for a dear friend in her own home? There are truly no words. 🩷✨

Welcome to the world, sweet baby girl! She made her peaceful entrance right in the birth pool, surrounded by so much warmth and devotion. The birth was fast, but so beautifully calm and centered.

This precious little girl marks the 517th baby I’ve had the honor of bringing into the world. What makes this extra special is looking back at her family's journey—her big brother was actually the 12th baby I caught, just a couple of months after I moved to New Hampshire! Her older sister was around the 290th.🌲👶

Watching this family grow over the years and being trusted to catch all of their sweet babies is the greatest privilege of my heart.

Sending all the love, blessings, and cozy newborn snuggles to this wonderful family as they settle in at home! 💚💚💚

Sunset and New Beginnings!
As the evening sun began to dip below the horizon, a new light entered the world. There is a specific kind of magic that happens when the day winds down and a family’s life is forever changed in the comfort of their own home as a beautiful baby boy was born this evening. He transitioned into the world with such grace, arriving peacefully in the warmth of the birth pool. The atmosphere was the perfect blend of strength and serenity as the evening shadows filled the room.

Midwifery is rarely a solo journey, and tonight was a beautiful testament to that. I am profoundly grateful to my fellow midwife who stepped in at a moment's notice to provide essential support.
When the call goes out and a colleague answers without hesitation, it reminds me of the incredible bond we share in this profession. Thank you for your skilled hands and your unwavering presence during those final, powerful moments.

There is something truly sacred about being invited back into a family’s story for the arrival of their second baby. Today, I had the honor of witnessing a beautiful home birth as this sweet family welcomed a healthy baby boy into the world.

One of the most moving parts of this journey is seeing the shift in family dynamics. Watching big brother meet his new sibling for the very first time—that mix of curiosity, gentleness, and pure wonder—is a reminder of why I love what I do. It’s those quiet, core-memory moments that stay with you long after the birth is over.

I also want to share a massive note of gratitude for my incredible community. As I continue to navigate recovery from my shoulder surgery, I’ve had to rely on my village more than usual. To the two wonderful midwives, Bianca Cothen and Noel Fernandez who stepped in to be my hands and support me during this birth: thank you. Your skill, heart, and teamwork allowed me to be present for this family while I heal, and I am so grateful for your partnership.
