✨ Saturdays are for you.

For slowing down.

For taking a deep breath.

For remembering that your well-being deserves a place on your calendar, too.

In a world that constantly asks you to give more, do more, and carry more, Reiki offers something beautifully different…

A quiet space to simply receive.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally heavy, mentally exhausted, or simply longing for a moment of peace, Distance Reiki creates an opportunity to reconnect with yourself from the comfort of your own home.

💜 Saturday appointments are now available.

If your body has been asking for a pause, I’d be honored to hold space for you.

📩 Send me a message to schedule or if you have questions about Reiki. I’m always happy to help.

🌿 Gentle support for your mind, body, and spirit…wherever you are.

✨ Is Reiki a religion?

This is one of the questions I’m asked most often.

The short answer is no.

Reiki is a holistic wellness practice that originated in Japan. It isn’t a religion, doesn’t require you to follow a particular spiritual path, and doesn’t ask you to change your personal beliefs.

People from many different backgrounds choose to receive Reiki. Some approach it as a spiritual practice, while others simply appreciate it as a way to relax, reduce stress, and support overall well-being.

At The Wild Bodhi, Reiki is offered as a gentle, complementary practice that encourages rest, balance, and nervous system regulation. It isn’t meant to replace medical care or your personal faith.

You are welcome exactly as you are.

✨ Whether you’re deeply spiritual, firmly rooted in your faith, simply curious, or not spiritual at all, Reiki invites only one thing:

A willingness to slow down and receive.

💜 Have you ever wondered about Reiki or had questions you’ve been hesitant to ask? I’d love to hear them. They might inspire a future post!

🌿 Meet Ojas: Your Essence of Vitality

In Ayurveda, Ojas is often described as the body’s deepest reserve of vitality. It is the subtle essence created when we are well nourished, well rested, and living in harmony with our unique nature.

While Agni transforms and Ama reminds us when something needs attention, Ojas is what remains when the body is truly supported. It is the quiet strength that helps us feel resilient, grounded, and alive.

When Ojas is abundant, you may notice:
✨ Steady energy that lasts throughout the day.
💛 A calm, resilient nervous system.
🌿 A strong immune system and healthy recovery.
😊 Emotional stability and a sense of contentment.
🌸 A natural glow that reflects health from within.

Ayurveda teaches that Ojas isn’t something we can buy or force. It is cultivated through the small choices we make every day.

You nourish Ojas by:
🥣 Eating wholesome, nourishing foods.
😴 Prioritizing restful sleep.
🌿 Spending time in nature.
🧘 Creating moments of peace and stillness.
💛 Cultivating meaningful relationships, joy, and gratitude.

Like a well-tended garden, Ojas grows slowly through consistent care. It isn’t built overnight, but with each nourishing choice, you strengthen the foundation of your health.

✨ True wellness isn’t just the absence of illness. It’s the presence of vitality.

The Little One Who Arrived Upside Down

The evening settled softly over the garden.

Ghost rested beside the hearth.

Ember was busy attempting to toast a blackberry.

Harold sipped his tea, convinced every good thought deserved one.

Then…

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

Not from the path.

Not from the garden.

From above.

Everyone looked down.

Except Ghost.

He looked up.

Tiny golden eyes peeked over one of the old wooden rafters.

Ember tilted his head.

“She’s upside down.”

Harold smiled.

“Or perhaps we’re the ones standing the wrong way.”

The tiny gecko crept a little farther around the beam, gripping the wood with impossible little toes.

Areli looked up and smiled.

“Coco Bean.”

The gecko paused.

Tilted her head.

And somehow looked even more upside down than before.

No one asked where she’d come from.

Some things don’t need explaining.

Only welcoming.

And from that evening on, whenever the garden forgot to look up…

two curious little eyes reminded everyone that wonder sometimes waits just above us.

Gentle Reflection

Some arrive with loud footsteps.

Some arrive with roaring fire.

And some arrive so quietly,

clinging to the rafters,

reminding us to look up.

🌧️ Lessons from the Garden | The Gentle Rain

This week, our little garden received just a bit of rain.

Not a storm.
Not days of soaking showers.

Just enough.

A few gentle moments of nourishment, and suddenly everything seemed a little greener. New blooms opened. The herbs stood taller. Life quietly responded.

It’s easy to believe we need dramatic change before we can begin to flourish. But nature tells a different story.

Sometimes it’s one kind word.
One deep breath.
One morning spent in the garden.
One small act of caring for yourself.

Little by little, those quiet moments become the rain that changes everything.

🍃 Reflection:
What has been your “gentle rain” lately? What small act of care has helped you keep growing?

🌿 Understanding Ama: When the Body Needs a Reset

In Ayurveda, Ama refers to the buildup of substances the body hasn’t been able to fully process or eliminate. While it’s often translated as “toxins,” Ama is better understood as anything that remains undigested… whether that’s food, emotions, stress, or even life experiences.

When Agni, our digestive fire, becomes weakened or overwhelmed, Ama can begin to accumulate over time.

Some common signs of excess Ama may include:
✨ Feeling heavy or sluggish.
🌿 Brain fog or lack of mental clarity.
🍃 Bloating or sluggish digestion.
😴 Low energy or feeling unrefreshed after sleep.
🤍 A coated tongue, especially in the morning.

The good news? Ayurveda doesn’t encourage harsh cleanses or quick fixes.

Instead, it focuses on supporting Agni so the body can do what it was designed to do: digest, transform, and eliminate naturally.

Simple ways to reduce Ama include:
🔥 Enjoying warm, freshly prepared meals.
💧 Staying well hydrated.
🚶 Moving your body daily.
🧘 Managing stress and allowing time for true rest.
🌱 Eating in a way that supports your unique constitution.

Small, consistent choices often have the greatest impact.

When we support digestion and live in rhythm with our bodies, we create space for greater energy, clarity, and vitality.

✨ Wellness isn’t about being perfect. It’s about gently clearing the path so your body can do what it does best.
