I can’t say how blessed I am to be able to do this work but more importantly do the work of The Lord. Sometimes, appointments call for prayer and hand holding. Today after this beautiful birth, praise and worship was on the agenda.

I’m extremely blessed to serve families along my sister in Christ Houston Birth Doula & Childbirth Educator 🫂 I know God put us together to serve women in the midst of walking in obedience to Him. Families are looking HARD for Holy Spirit led Midwives and Doulas and we say “Here I am Lord”!

Believe it or not, what you wear ESPECIALLY when you’re sweating truly does matter. Especially if you’re in either the preconception planning phase or TTC phase of your life 💚💜

I’m really loving wearing natural fibers like organic h**p, bamboo, and cotton. I’m also even more grateful that I can wear clothes made with intention by a small business like Asatre 🙌🏾

Children are a gift from The Lord!

These past 2 weeks as a Midwife, it seemed like I had to be soooo many places all at once.

The role of a home birth midwife is endless to say the least, and still - looking at some of the photos in just the past couple of days reminds me of how sovereign God is and how much of a BLESSING it is to have healthy & happy babies formed in the womb and be brought earth side.

Thank you God for ordering our steps, and the privilege to hold these beautiful families in our hearts 🤎💜

Tbh, I would have packed this same lunch for him even if we weren’t prepping for a baby 😅 this is just how we eat. I also packed him 2 mandarin oranges.

The only thing different is I’m pushing a little more variety on nuts & seeds (for s***m health) and we swapped out a multivitamin for the AMAZING & science backed bird&be vitamins. The ones we are taking now are aimed for preconception and fertility, we each have our own.

We’ve always used glass and non toxic paper to pack things, which is why I love Ello Products esp since we can use them in the toaster oven.

Remember that MEN ARE HALF OF THE EQUATION when it comes to fertility maxing & preconception planning 🤎🤎

You can bring your car seat to your prenatal appts or have us help you install at your postpartum home visit 🚗

Not only did we do hands on installation, we went over car seat safety, rear facing, and extended rear facing.

Car seat safety is something that’s overlooked often for some reason, but living in a city like Houston - it’s extremely important!

We have officially entered our preconception era! 🎉

Preconception is one of the first major steps to planning for a baby and BOTH the man and woman should take on the commitment.

This journey ideally should be 6 months to about 2 years depending on health goals, financial goals, the ability to alleviate stress from work and outside sources etc.

One important thing for both my husband and is what we are wearing while sweating/working out near our reproductive organs! We have also both switched our underwear as well.
