Kicking things off with innovation: Dr. Fairbrother continues to lead the way in shaping the future of medical education 🤖📚

From our recent AI in Med Ed retreat jointly led by Drs. Fairbrother, Ownby, and Hsieh, alongside McGovern students Samyuktha Senthil Kumar and Cassidy Edwards, UTH faculty and staff had the chance to roll up their sleeves and explore real, practical ways to integrate AI into teaching. As AI continues to grow, experiences like this are key in preparing the next generation of medical professionals with the tools they’ll actually use in practice.

(And yes… we even had a special furry assistant stop by 🐶💛)

🏆 On top of that, Dr. Fairbrother was honored by McGovern medical students and the Texas Medical Association for Excellence in Teaching with the C. Frank Webber, MD Award - a well-deserved recognition of her impact in the classroom.

🏛️ She was also recognized nationally in Washington, DC with the ACEP 911 Network Member of the Year Award for her advocacy work advancing EM.

What a month! We’re lucky to have her 👏
