Almost a year ago, I shared this photo and talked about how much it meant to have a friend who helped me find my footing again professionally when I moved back home to Houston.
Kalia Kalia Z. Aparicio was one of the people who made sure I got connected to the NAHSE Houston Chapter and nalhe_greater_houston communities, encouraged me to show up, and reminded me that I belonged in these rooms.
Now I’m preparing to present at the NAHSE National NAHSE Educational Conference next month, and this photo feels even more special. 🥹
It’s wild how the rooms people once encouraged you to walk into can eventually become rooms where you’re invited to contribute. Forever grateful for the people who make introductions, open doors, and remind you that you belong there too.
