My story โฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธโฅ๏ธ
Back in 2016, I went to my doctor because I was experiencing some concerning symptoms. After an ultrasound, I was told I had fibroids and needed to schedule a biopsy.
Hearing those words was a wake up call.
At the time, I was training for long distance races. Before my biopsy, I decided to spend seven days nourishing my body with whole foods, giving my digestive system a break, staying active, praying, and becoming intentional about my health.
I remember going on an 8 mile training run during that week and feeling incredible. I felt light, energized, clear minded, and deeply connected with myself. It was one of those moments I'll never forget.
On the day of my biopsy, the nurses told me to sit up slowly afterward because I might feel dizzy and could experience cramping once I got home. Instead, I felt completely fine.
At my follow up appointment, I was told they no longer saw the fibroid. My doctor asked me what I had been doing and encouraged me to continue limiting red meat and increase eating more vegetables and fruits.
That experience changed my life.
It sparked a passion to learn everything I could about nutrition, wellness, and how our daily choices can support our health. Over the years, many women started asking me for guidance, mostly wanting to lose weight.
But I realized something...
Health is about so much more than the number on the scale.
Weight loss is often a result of creating healthier habits not the purpose.
It led me to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, but more importantly, it changed how I see health.
I don't believe in fad diets or quick fixes. I believe in
bio-individuality because every woman's body is different. What nourishes one person may not be what nourishes another.
My role isn't to tell you to follow my diet.
My role is to help you discover the foods, habits, and lifestyle that help your body thrive.
My coaching is based on the concept of Primary Foods and Secondary Foods.
๐ฅ Secondary Foods are the foods on your plate.
โฅ๏ธ Primary Foods are the things that nourish us beyond food our relationships, career, movement, spirituality, purpose, sleep, joy, and connection.
When we begin nourishing both, lasting wellness becomes possible.
That's why I created Brilliant Holistic Health a community for women 35+ who are ready to stop chasing quick fixes and start building a personalized lifestyle that nourishes their body, renews their mind, and strengthens their spirit.
If you're looking for encouragement, education, accountability, and a safe place to grow, I'd love to welcome you.
