Rocket: Today, we heard…

Emirates is set to become the world's first Autism Certified Airline, with official certification from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) expected in the coming months.

Over 30,000 Emirates cabin crew and ground staff are currently undergoing specialised training to better address the needs of affected travellers, ensuring that at least 80% of customer-facing staff complete the dedicated programme. The training covers autism misconceptions, individual needs, and potential sensory triggers, equipping staff with the knowledge to provide tailored support.

In addition to the training, Emirates plans to introduce new services in 2025 aimed at enhancing accessibility. These include sensory guides, digital tools designed to help passengers navigate environments based on sensory factors such as sound, lighting, and smells. The airline will also offer neurodiverse sensory products, such as fidget toys, to help passengers reduce stress and maintain focus during flights.

Emirates has already achieved a Certified
Autism Centre designation for its four Dubai check-in facilities, including its hub in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. This follows Dubai Airport's recognition as the first international airport to receive the Certified Autism Centre designation in December 2023.

At Morgan's, we are committed to providing inclusive spaces for individuals of all abilities. We are so proud to announce our future plans for the Ultra-Accommodating™, fully-inclusive Morgan's Hotel™ to be built near our Morgan's Wonderland theme park.

Drawing on the expertise gained from the success of other Morgan’s Ultra-Accessible™ venues, Morgan’s Hotel™ will be accommodating to individuals of all abilities. World-renowned hotel chains such as Hilton, Marriott, and Hyatt are all negotiating to be the first to place their name on this innovative approach to lodging. The San Antonio location will serve as a model for future Ultra-Accommodating™ hotels, prompting a cultural shift in the hospitality industry.

Projected to open in 2026, Morgan’s Hotel™ will introduce innovative design features with wider hallways, larger guest rooms, and easy access to elevators. Specialized services will include staff trained in disability etiquette, assistance with mobility devices, and accommodations such as hearing aid loops and sensory-sensitive colors and lighting. The goal is to create an environment of acceptance for all travelers, ensuring peace of mind.
