April 7-13 is National Volunteer Week.
Allstar Hospice values all of our wonderful Volunteers!

Hospice volunteers add immeasurable happiness to patients’ lives. They also allow family caregivers to take much needed breaks. But ask any volunteer and they’ll almost certainly say that they are getting more out of the experience than they could ever give.

There are two ways that a person can serve as a hospice volunteer: direct and indirect. Direct volunteers visit patients in their homes or assisted living facilities. They do things like engage them in conversation, visit with their pet, read to them, or play an instrument for them. Indirect volunteers offer their time and talents in the Allstar Hospice Office – doing things like putting together mailings, filing paperwork, and assisting staff.
