This week I'm feeling extra grateful for my nursing roots. 🌸

My journey began 27 years ago managing an IVF clinic right here in Houston, Texas. Every day I worked alongside intended parents who desperately wanted a child — and I watched firsthand how the right nurse could transform a scary, overwhelming experience into one filled with hope and confidence.

That experience is what inspired me to found The Donor Solution/3Sisters Surrogacy — because families deserve to work with someone who truly understands what they're going through. Not just a business person. A nurse. 🩺💜

Today, after helping over 3,000 people become parents, my nursing training is in everything our team does. The way we communicate. The way we care. The way we never leave anyone confused or alone in the process.

Fertility nursing is one of the most specialized — and most rewarding — fields in all of nursing. 🌟 Here's a peek at what we actually do every day:

💉 Coordinate IVF cycles from start to finish — scheduling ultrasounds, blood draws, and medication protocols for egg donors, surrogates and intended parents.

🔬 Monitor egg donors daily — tracking follicle growth and hormone levels to keep every donor medically safe throughout stimulation. Working with surrogates and intended parents getting ready for transfer.

📋 Educate & counsel — teaching donors self-injection techniques and walking intended parents through every step so they feel calm and confident.

📞 Bridge the gap — communicating between the embryology lab, the reproductive endocrinologist, and patients every single day.

🎉 Make THE phone call — when a beta hCG comes back positive, WE deliver that news. It NEVER gets old!

In 27 years and 3,000+ families later, that call still gives me chills every single time. 😭💜
