In this video, I recap my experience as the guest speaker of the PRTESOL Leadership Summit. This year’s theme was all about Unity, and the president had a massive goal: break down regional silos, bring members from all four chapters together, and build lasting professional bonds.

It was my first time working with this incredible organization, and I’ll admit—I was nervous about whether the activities would truly connect everyone. But we threw them right into the deep end with a fast-paced problem-solving workshop!

The energy in the room at the Women’s Leadership Summit was absolutely electric!

This was easily my most anticipated event of the year, and it felt incredible to finally present to such a stellar group of professional women.

I had the absolute honor of speaking to this amazing audience of women CPAs about the power of negotiation. From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed with such open arms and warmth.

Sharing my expertise with this community was an unforgettable experience, but the impact didn’t stop when I left the stage. I made so many wonderful new connections, and receiving such beautiful feedback from the attendees of the event has truly warmed my heart.

There is nothing quite like watching a room full of brilliant women lean in, support one another, and own their worth. A huge thank you to the WSCPA team for putting together such an empowering event, and to everyone who attended for bringing your passion and breakthrough energy!

I had just arrived after a long flight so I did a quick refresh and changed into my work clothes.

was the guest speaker for the April meeting and he did not disappoint! He delivered a program full of golden nuggets sizzling with action steps and the best part, I got a mini version of his signature spatula because…kitchen, you know!

I am deeply honored to have received official recognition from the Houston Health Department for my recent presentation during Heart Failure Awareness Week.

Here’s a small sample of the Leadership Summit where I presented to a fantastic group of teachers in Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷

We had a great time and it was fantastic to see how they worked together during the exercises of the workshop Leading the Future. The attendees came from the different chapters and regions, where they met other members and made new connections.

It was truly satisfying to see them work united as a group with a common goal.

I look forward to meeting them again and serving the members in the near future.

It’s Wear Red Day! 💃🏻

Today is dedicated to raise awareness about heart disease in women.

This is important because:

♥️ Heart disease is the number 1 killer of women worldwide.

♥️ 1 in 3 women dies of heart disease each year.

♥️ One woman dies of heart disease every 80 seconds.

♥️ Women are less likely to receive CPR by a bystander when they experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital institution decreasing their chances of survival.

♥️ Women are more prone to present with atypical symptoms when they experience a heart attack so they get diagnosed later than men, losing time to save their heart muscle.

For these reasons above and many others is why we should continue creating awareness and educating the community about heart disease in women.
