One of my favorite moments with a patient is watching their face when a sound comes back that they forgot they'd lost. A turn signal. The fridge humming. Their dog's footsteps crossing the kitchen floor.

I remember what that felt like myself. Small sounds, once they're gone, take a piece of daily life with them. Getting them back is never small.

What's one sound you'd miss most if it disappeared?

"I'll look old" or "I'm not ready to look like I have hearing loss". I hear this a lot, and honestly, the picture most people have in their head is about 20 years out of date.

Really proud of this one.
I was asked to contribute an article to the International Hearing Society's magazine last month, and it's a topic I spend a lot of time on.
There's always more to learn, more to give, and more ways to show up better for the people I serve. Getting to share that with colleagues across the country feels like a great next step.

Sometimes the best product testing happens when you're simply living life.

The truth is, hearing doesn't happen in perfect listening environments. It happens on boats, over dinner with friends, while traveling, at concerts, on the golf course, and in all the little moments in between.

That's why I'm so selective about the technology I recommend. I want my patients to feel confident wherever life takes them; not thinking about their hearing aids, just enjoying the experience.

To me, that's what great hearing care is all about.
