Summer is often seen as a season to slow down, recharge, and take a breath, but that shouldn’t just apply to vacations.

Through Nourish Our Businesses, we partner with local businesses, organizations, and teams to provide workshops focused on stress management, burnout prevention, workplace wellness, mental health, mindfulness, and more.

Whether you’re planning a summer staff appreciation event, team training, lunch-and-learn, or wellness initiative, we’d love to help create something meaningful for your team.

A healthier, more supported workplace starts with making wellness part of the conversation 💙

No, play therapy isn’t “just playing.”

Play is how children communicate, process emotions, build coping skills, and make sense of experiences when they don’t always have the words to explain what’s going on.

Behind every game, drawing, toy, and activity is intentional therapeutic work designed to help children grow, heal, and feel understood.

If your child is struggling with big feelings, anxiety, behavior changes, or life transitions, play therapy can provide a safe space to work through them 💙

Every therapist has their thing! 🪴✏️

Whether it’s sticky notes, a favorite fidget, a giant emotional support blanket, books, color-coded planners, or approximately 47 pens… somehow it all makes sense.

Behind every therapist is a collection of oddly specific items that have become essential to the job.

The allegations are true… and honestly, we’re not beating the charges. 😂💙

Our therapy sessions may be full of games, laughter, toys, and the occasional highly competitive Uno match.

But behind all the fun is something intentional. Every activity is an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and help kids and teens grow.

Turns out healing doesn’t always look serious. Sometimes it looks like play. 🤍

When your brain starts coming up with terrible ideas and suddenly your therapist’s voice appears out of nowhere 😭🐶

“Okay, but what evidence do we have for that?”
“Let’s pause for a second.”
“Is that helpful or familiar?”

The coping skills really do sneak up on you.

Over the last month, our team has had the privilege of connecting with so many members of our community 💙

These events are a reminder that mental health conversations don’t just happen in therapy offices. They happen in community spaces, at local events, and through the relationships we build with one another.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, learn more about our programs, and support our mission.

We can’t wait to continue showing up for our community 🤍

Trauma can affect the way we think, feel, connect, and move through everyday life, even long after an experience has passed.

Our Intensive Trauma Program is designed for individuals who feel stuck in the effects of trauma, loss, or overwhelming life experiences and are looking for a more focused path toward healing.

Using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), this personalized program helps clients process distressing memories and emotional responses in a supportive, structured format designed to promote healing, resilience, and emotional growth.

Non-profit funding may be available for qualifying individuals, including those who are uninsured, underinsured, or have not found relief through traditional treatment approaches.

You do not have to navigate healing alone 💙

Not everyone feels their best during the summer months ☀️

While summer is often associated with vacations, sunshine, and fun, it can also bring anxiety, overstimulation, disrupted routines, body image pressures, and emotional exhaustion for many people.

If you’ve ever felt guilty for not loving summer as much as everyone else seems to, you’re not alone, and there’s nothing wrong with you.

In our latest blog post, Angelica Castaldo MHC-LP explores the often-overlooked reality of summer seasonal affective disorder, why it happens, and practical ways to care for your mental health during the warmer months.

Because mental health doesn’t follow a season, and neither should support 💙
