I'm Betty Betty Pettit suffered with Alzheimer's for 11+ years. Her family documented and shared her journey through social media. She passed away July 19th, 2024.

She became known and loved all over the world because of a viral video of her meeting herself in the mirror. My mother, Betty, suffered with Alzheimer's Disease for over 11 years. She was propelled to internet fame from a TikTok video I posted of her meeting herself in the mirror and showing such kindness. We continue to bring awareness to the disease and caregiving.

The Blizzard of '77 was terrifying. Stuck in the office overnight with 30 others, sleeping on the floor as the heat shut down. We heard a major house fire, but couldn't see anything through the frosted windows. Waking up to a snow-covered world, only a tarped pickup truck could start.

Heading back to an old RV park after nearly 10 years to reconnect with friends. Thinking about visiting a new great-granddaughter in spring and maybe a trip to Washington D.C. to explore the museums. We also reminisced about a fantastic trip to New Orleans, including the World War II museum and Oak Alley Plantation.
